We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model. We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results. github.com/openai/math

This is a refreshing take that’s been resonating with me. The “third way” of learning how to do many things well is going to serve people well for the next decades. Specialized roles that have, in my opinion, boxed people into a narrow niche will be diminished. I think that’s for the better.

One of the things I’m thankful for is that there are so many different paths toward growth, progress, and betterment. You could ask numerous trustworthy, intelligent people, “How does one live a better life?” and you would probably get varying answers. All of those answers could still be helpful. I think the secret sauce is simply to get started and do things.
