Deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dame Hilary Mantel. May she rest in peace. But what a landmark when she has made the death of a writer headline news.

Benches that contain hidden stories, what a fantastic idea 👏💚!
Our ‘Words from a bench’ project is now in the park! On benches in the Rowntree Park scan QR codes to access a poem/short story written by the community based on nature, escape or the park itself. @bishyroadnet @LittleVikingsUK @yorkpress @BBCYork @greenspacesyork @CityofYork

If you can, please plant a native hedgerow in your garden or community. So much better than a fence! It could help hedgehogs, bumblebees, blackbirds, frogs, butterflies, robins, bats, hoverflies, wrens... and much more, while soaking up CO2!
