From supplementation to resolution, the new Anemia Mukt Bharat guidance marks an evidence-based shift towards ensuring treatment completion and anemia resolution. At the Anemia Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Workshop 2026, Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), highlighted the importance of the “Test, Talk, Treat and Track” approach, with tailored management for mild, moderate and severe anemia. The guidance also emphasizes repeat testing after three months, healthy iron-rich diets, wider access to newer high-bioavailability iron formulations, and cross-sector solutions across age groups. #AnaemiaMuktBharat #AMBWorkshop2026
