imagine an IT company announcing that employees can donate their unused sick leaves to coworkers. within six months, there would be an underground sick leave economy. senior developers selling migraines for ₹4000, freshers borrowing fevers at 18% interest, and HR launching an investigation into fraudulent tuberculosis. capitalism always finds a way.

My company has a strict policy against moonlighting. Meanwhile the CEO is an angel investor, motivational speaker, podcast host, startup advisor, LinkedIn influencer and board member of 4 companies. Apparently the sun only shines on the top floor.

I had to prove I wasn't a robot to speak to a customer support robot. We have completely lost control of the situation.

genuine question, if the machine kills someone, who gets arrested?

If I die while working from home, please don't tell my company immediately. Keep my laptop online, move the mouse occasionally and collect another month's salary. I've given them enough free overtime. My corpse deserves compensation.

this is why poverty will never be eradicated. people have started treating it like a spiritual achievement.
Elon Musk is still the second richest guy in the world 🌎

a senior engineer I know quietly works two full-time remote jobs for US startups. he makes ₹1.2 crore a year sitting in his bedroom. his colleagues think he is an average performer working 40 hours. in reality, he logs 15 hours a week total. system is broken, and he’s milking it. Thoughts?

I want to see two ai agents handle an entire job interview. Candidate's bot invents 5 years of kubernetes experience. recruiter's bot praises the culture and offers a salary that doesn't exist. both send each other a lovely thank you email. The real humans wake up to a rejection saying there wasn't enough human connection.

having potential is exhausting. everyone keeps expecting you to do something with it

A senior dev told me he deliberately leaves a few minor bugs unfixed before every release. Because if everything works perfectly, management starts questioning why they need so many developers. I laughed until he told me he's been doing this for 8 years 😭

Before joining a company, candidates should be allowed to speak to 3 employees who recently resigned. Not the ones HR recommends. The ones who left without even having another offer. I bet half the companies would suddenly stop hiring.

instead of putting candidates through 5-6 interview rounds, why not let them work for a month (paid)? if you're satisfied with their work, hire them. one month is more than enough to judge someone's ability to do the job. some companies make interviews harder than the actual job itself.

company literally gave you a way to verify the product before accepting it, and you still managed to screw it up. that's a skill issue, not a scam.
Flipkart "Open Box Delivery" trap: Delivery guy: "Sir, give OTP first, then I will open the box." You share the OTP. Box opens: wrong item, scratched product, or missing accessory. You contact support. Flipkart: "As per policy, since OTP was verified at doorstep, return cannot be initiated." Spend ₹5,000, verify your own scam with an OTP, and keep a damaged box as a souvenir. Flawless customer service, honestly 🤔

naming a baby is actually insane. you meet someone who's been alive for 11 minutes and decide what everyone will call them for the next 80 years.

AI has created a new category of developers. They can build an entire application in a weekend but struggle to explain what happens when a user clicks the login button. The scary part isn't that ai writes their code. It's that some of them are already selling courses. PS: I'm one of them 💀

Interviewer: you banned a user from your platform. how would you prevent them from signing up again with a different email?

A ₹2 crore apartment in an indian metro can come with a leaking ceiling, terrible water pressure, zero parking space for visitors, and a road outside that floods every monsoon. But don't worry. The building has an italian sounding name.
