In recent years, the "RE" series, which is a remake of early titles, has also been well received. In 2027, "RE: Veronica", a remake of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica (2000), will be released.
🗣️ "There are a great many fans, and the fanbase is also considerably more deeply invested than those of other titles. We must not make a half-hearted remake. The team that worked on the remake of 4 is working on it, but two or three small reworks have occurred, and it is extremely difficult.
CODE: Veronica is a story centered on older brother Chris and younger sister Claire.
💭 Originally, it was something like a side story, but I think the remake will allow players to feel that these events had this kind of significance within the series as a whole.
In the RE remakes we've made so far, we've also changed the original stories little by little. These differences will gradually take on meaning. I hope you'll look forward to the possibility of seeing Spencer's true nature."

I don’t get Takeuchi misrepresenting older eras like this. Maybe they weren't written with a 10-year plan, but did he forget Flagship? Or the Chronicles/5/6 era with Murata, Seto and Suga?
And yeah, by their own statements they do see RE7 that way, which honestly annoys me.

Unused Ada lines found in the Separate Ways files that sound a lot like Leon's. Might just be a coincidence, but the parallel is still fun.

A new video shows 249 unused dialogues from Resident Evil 4 Remake, including Separate Ways:
▪️ 124 unused dialogues with audio from the main campaign.
▪️ 49 unused dialogues from Ada Wong in Separate Ways. These were first discovered through datamining in 2023, before the DLC was released, but never appeared in the final version.
▪️ 76 unused dialogues that only exist as subtitles, with no audio files remaining.
All these dialogues are still in the current version of the game, but are never used. Unlike the previous findings, they're not exclusive to the PS5 launch disc.
