Neuroplasticity isn’t just about complex skills or learning new languages. The fastest way to spark cognitive flexibility is injecting tiny friction into daily, automatic habits.
“Study hard what interests you the most in the most undisciplined, irreverent, and original manner possible.”
— Richard Feynman
Be honest. Do you write the real stuff in your journal?
Most people self-censor. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you know it’s sitting on someone else’s cloud database.
MirrorNotes fixes that.
• 100% on-device AI (runs directly on your iPhone chip)
• Zero servers, zero accounts, works completely offline in airplane mode
• Only syncs to your personal iCloud
It doesn't give you generic advice. It reflects your actual words back to you and notices patterns you missed.

Read this quote today and haven't stopped thinking about it:
"If you kill a cockroach, you are a hero. If you kill a butterfly, you are evil. Morality, therefore, has aesthetic standards."
But you MUST stop fucking yourself over with this lazy, self-destructive nightly habit of yours. Do the things you need to do (show up to work, exercise, be good to your friends), and otherwise give yourself exactly what you need to be happy, and do not punish yourself for a second. Give yourself love and attention and respect. Treat your thoughts and feelings like the precious gems that they are. Respect yourself enough to allow yourself to be stubborn, shy, recalcitrant, angry, confused. Forgive yourself for this Bitter Era, but proclaim that it’s over. Today, it ends. Buy a pretty notebook for your gratitude and your self-acceptance, and put it by the bed. Dare to believe that this could change you. Don’t be cynical. Don’t go through the motions with this. The Bitter Era is done. You are celebrating yourself now, who you are RIGHT NOW, not a week from now, not a year from now. You are looking for someone with a taste for you, and nothing less will do. Believe that there is someone who fits that description. Believe that you deserve it, you deserve to be loved. It’s all going to work out just fine.
Non-negotiables to out-think, out-work, and out-last 99% of people:
- Aggressive optimism: Overthink the upside; plan for the downside.
- Follow obsession: Curiosity sustains long-term effort better than discipline alone.
- Find real mentors: Learn from people whose actual daily reality you respect.
- Smart supplementation: Creatine monohydrate, Vitamin D3, and Magnesium Bisglycinate.
- Clean nutrition: Real, high protein, whole foods; zero ultra-processed filler.
- Daily movement: Weighted calisthenics or heavy compound training.
- Sleep hygiene: 7–9 hours of non-negotiable, deep rest.
- Write daily: Untangle mental clutter and organize thought on paper.
- Lean into friction: Do the exact hard thing you are avoiding.
- Leverage AI: Use modern tools as a multiplier, not an intellectual crutch.
- Unplug fully: Dedicated screen-free breaks to reset baseline attention.
- High-standard culture: Immerse in cinema, art, and music that raises your standard of excellence.
- Thermal recovery: Regular sauna use and cold exposure.
- Circadian health: Morning sunlight and walks in nature.
- Polymath mindset: Read philosophy, history, and macro systems.
- Study biographies: Learn directly from the failures and grit of the greats.
- Guard your dopamine: Eliminate cheap, endless short-form scrolling.
- Radical honesty: Acknowledge personal flaws without rationalizing them.
- Grounded presence: Protect and genuinely enjoy uninterrupted time with family and loved ones.
- Balance intensity: Push hard in acute blocks, then recover deeply.
Stop daydreaming about going back in time to fix things.
The physics of the universe are brutally clear: entropy moves in one direction. There is no rewind button.
Start where you are today.
Build with quiet, unbroken consistency. In three years, your future self will thank you for finally letting the past die.
Human chaos feels emotional until you zoom out.
Obsession, crowd panic, greed, and grief all eventually collapse into game theory, statistics, and probability.
You can't outrun the numbers.
Pain and setback always demand an outlet.
As Dr. Andrew Huberman highlights, the divide between stagnation and growth lies in how you direct that friction:
• Turn it inward: rumination, resentment, self-sabotage
• Drive it outward: generative, disciplined action
Never waste the friction. Channel it.
A broken heart is painful, but an unbroken heart locked away in self-protection is hell. C. S. Lewis said it best.
Stop assuming people are mad at you. Stop attempting to read people's minds. Stop trying to manage the thoughts and emotions of others. Let people be in charge of themselves. If they have something to say to you, they will; and if they don't, it is their responsibility, not yours. Overthinking kills happiness.
The tragedy of the human mind: it will choose familiar misery over unfamiliar peace, simply because it hates the unknown.
Reverse-engineer the person you want to become.
Close your eyes and picture them. Calm under pressure. Wise. Respected. Impossible to rattle.
Now work backwards. What skills made them valuable? What standards earned the respect? What experiences shaped that thinking? What sacrifices did they make that almost everyone refuses?
Everyone admires the finished product. Almost nobody studies the build.
Stop admiring. Start assembling the pieces.

The greatest skill you can develop is the ability to figure it out. That single decision separates the ones who wait from the ones who win. It's the mindset that says you might not know everything yet, but you'll learn, you'll adapt, and you'll keep pushing until something clicks. People underestimate how far that kind of resilience takes you.
When you can figure things out, you stop being scared of new challenges. You stop waiting for perfect instructions or someone to guide you step by step. You trust your capacity to learn in real time. You trust your instincts. You trust your grind. That's when life stops feeling overwhelming and starts feeling like a game you can actually master.
And the truth is, once you become the person who can figure anything out, you become unstoppable. You stop folding when things get messy and you stop looking for excuses when things get hard. You start creating solutions instead of searching for them. That's the moment life shifts in your favor, because it's not luck anymore. It's you.
