there seem to be two fundamental ways to approach life: 1/ if it is not permitted, it’s forbidden; 2/ if it is not forbidden, it’s permitted. 2 is clearly the way to go - thus, do not seek permission, just proceed until apprehended. #auspol #Philosophy #politics #history

Hard to take Australia’s polity seriously when every second budget is focussed on the next election. Four-year fixed-term parliaments a no-brainer. But inconvenient to the majors. #auspol #Election2025

@AlanKohler Just saw your ABC news report. For clarification you think Australia should not increase defence spending?

There were many victims & survivors of George Pell’s psychological abuse also. On this day the heroic Chrissie & Anthony Foster & their daughters should be remembered. They bore the full brunt of Pell’s evil disdain. Never forgive; never forget.
Pell supported predators, ignored child sexual abuse, and sexually abused children himself. Yet he continues to be upheld by the elite, and powerful politicians, including some who would-be PM.

I got so much nasty & disturbing abuse over the book (Fallen) I wrote on Pell’s trial and additional evidence of abuse and cover-ups. Some of his mates even wrote entire books on the “media witch hunt”. Now two more victims have been compensated #pell abc.net.au/news/2025-01-31/g…

@shortmsgs I’m praying to my dear mum in this photograph: “Bishop James O’Connell is dead. Bishop Ronald Mulkearns is dead. George Pell is dead. My friend Stephen (altar boy to Ridsdale & Pell) is dead. Mum, there are Ballarat Diocese assistants alive today who know the truth. Please ask Victoria Police to interrogate the live ones today. THEY KNOW THE TRUTH. Pontifical Secret is lifted. They can’t hide behind their perverted silence anymore. I love you mum. You’ve got this!” 👫 B4 ⛪️ Joolsmagools®️

@CommBankwhat is going on with your call centres? You played the jingoism card of 'Australia-based' centres. Dubious tactic. If you're going to make such a play, you need sufficient staff. Too few on the line, as it were. Unfair on them and customers. Any plans to adjust? #banks

There is what was called a Twitterspat between Hugh Grant and Piers Morgan It clearly illustrates the difference between a well-educated mind and a lazy, sloppy tabloid one NB: The man who is defending Murdoch has taken millions from him. Hugh and I choose not to work for him
