Shotts and Dykehead

It's a busy Hogmanay for band members. Dan Nevans & Jamie Matheson are entertaining @CottiersTheatre Happy New Year from @shottspipeband !

Shotts piper Dan Nevans is through to the next round of the Scots Guards Club's Knockout Contest. On Sunday evening Dan and Jamie Elder, of Inveraray and District Pipe Band, came head to head in the Knockout Contest, with a standing room only crowd voting Dan as the winner.

Shotts pipers Danny Hutcheson and Luke Kennedy enjoyed playing at last night's St Andrew's Day Ceilidh in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. They took to the stage as part of @nypbos joining the @RSNO and traditional musicians Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain.

Saturday was a busy day for our Pipe Major, Ryan Canning, who judged the Chanter events at #ShottsJuniorComp! His company, Canning Reedmakers, sponsored a number of events providing copies of The Blockbuster and sets of Canning Drone Reeds.
