October is LGBTQ+ History Month!🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🎉
On June 27, 1970, Chicago’s very first Pride was held in our very own Washington Square Park. I’m working with the LGBT Hall of Fame to secure a plaque that shares this special piece of history.
We must remember what it took to get here, and how far we can go together.

Come out. Come as you are. 🌈
For generations, Northalsted has been a place to find community, celebrate identity, and experience the freedom of being yourself.
Coming out isn’t always a single moment. Sometimes it’s a conversation. Sometimes it’s a celebration. Sometimes it’s simply finding the courage to live a little more authentically.
And sometimes, it’s finding a place where you don’t have to explain who you are.
This National Coming Out Day, we celebrate everyone who’s out, everyone who’s finding their way, and everyone who isn’t ready yet.
Because there’s no timeline for being yourself.
Whoever you are. Wherever you are in your journey. You belong here. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
