Sending condolences to the family of our former first lady. 🕊️🕊️
Former First Lady Penehupifo Pohamba has died, aged 78.
NBC News has confirmed, however, details surrounding her death are still to be announced.
Pohamba, the wife of Namibia’s second president, Hifikepunye Pohamba, served as First Lady from 2005 to 2015. She helped shape the office around health care, women’s empowerment and support for vulnerable communities, drawing on her background as a nurse and midwife.
Pohamba trained as a nurse and midwife in Tanzania and Jamaica before practising as a registered nurse and midwife. Her professional experience became central to her public work, particularly maternal and child health care.
As First Lady, she championed campaigns on maternal and child health and advocated for improved access to health services. Pohamba was also active in the national response to HIV and AIDS.
Further details on her death and funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family and relevant authorities.

If there is one thing that I don’t appreciate about potential clients is the insistence on having in person meetings about something that could’ve been done over the phone or a zoom call. like I understand The in person thing, but you can’t ask me to come in for 30 minutes
Happy international white Cane safety day 🦯
🦯 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🤍
The white cane is an important mobility tool that supports independence, orientation, and freedom of movement for persons with visual impairments.
Here are four ways to keep your white cane in good condition:
1. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻: Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
2. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲: Regularly check your cane for cracks, bends, loose joints, or a worn-out tip.
3. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘆: Keep it in a safe, dry place when you're not using it.
4. 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲: Fold and unfold it gently to protect its joints and locking mechanism.
Do you have a go-to tip for looking after your white cane? We’d love to hear from you in the comments!

I don’t want to be insensitive, but I’m sure that tiger was so confused once that human climbed into the enclosure, I’m sure the tiger was like “no way”
One of our sponsors asked me on Saturday, why have I committed myself to initiatives like the walk for sight and I said that it’s one thing to be permanently blind, it’s another thing to commit yourself to being part of the hope that the next person can have to see again
Already writing my third Substack on how “The Dating Market Needs to be Regulated” subtitle is: Ghosting Governance, and Ethics of Affection. But ya’ll didn’t read the second one 😩
