Amazing. I never thought we’d invent real life C-3POs (etiquette and protocol droids) before we’d invent R2-D2s, but here we are.
Oh no, if Twitter goes down I’ll…

…be significantly more productive at work and spend more focused time with my family?

In the documentary I Know That Voice, Kevin Conroy tells this unforgettable story about working at a food relief station in Manhattan in the days after 9/11. It’s one of my favorite stories he told about the power of his talents. Rest In Peace Mr. Conroy
Showing my 5-year-old Star Wars…
HER: Why does Darth Vader look like that?
ME: He got hurt in a fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi a long time ago.
HER: Is there a movie about that?
ME: …There’s 3 movies and dozens of TV episodes about that.
HER: WHAAAAT!?
No, *you* told an AI to draw Joe Biden in the style of Batman: The Animated Series.

We, the People of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings, do establish and ordain this Constitution, so that we all may vote on dialysis-related ballot measures, every year, for the rest of our lives.

I really enjoyed this unexpected sci-fi novella twitter thread from @imillhiser. And since I've been looking for something fun to do with machine-generated art, I made #stablediffusion generate a book cover.
My computer literally made all these last night while I slept.

If my career collapses, please know it's because I finally got one of those machine learning art generator things to run on my laptop, and it's very hard to write when you can make pictures of Joe Biden as different fighting game characters whenever you want.

Why yes I have had a low-grade fever for several days while taking care of a 5-year-old, why do you ask?
The first two new episodes of Kids in the Hall feel miraculous. They’ve somehow seamlessly continued the original show’s energy and style (from 1995!) and it still feels fresh. I was scared this would be old heroes embarrassing themselves but instead it’s triumphant.
Two brief (non-spoiler) thoughts on Severance after watching the season finale.
1. It's very good and reminds me of the best parts of Lost (the dollops of concentrated weirdness, warm and funny relationships, mystery that focused on character psychology rather than plot).
...so as the season built I stopped caring about the why of the mystery and got pulled into the tension of wondering how these people I cared about would navigate all the emotional and physical dangers I knew existed around every corner.
