UPGRADE: Braiins OS 26.10 is live 💥
Braiins OS now speaks Russian and Chinese, plus uninstall from the web UI, fewer bosminer restarts, and better fan, PSU, and upgrade reliability.
1️⃣ Russian and Chinese GUI
• Run your fleet in your own language
• Switch language directly in the web UI
2️⃣ Uninstall from the web UI
• Remove Braiins OS without SSH or extra tools
• Handy for resale, RMA, or switching firmware
3️⃣ Faster thermal response
• Fans boost automatically when chip temperature climbs quickly
• "Dangerous internal temperature" errors now show the chip number, so you know exactly where to look
• The max_fan_efficiency_mode Advanced setting has been removed
4️⃣ Fewer bosminer restarts. Switching power or hashrate targets in the GUI, or setting the same tuner target again, no longer restarts bosminer. Less downtime when you tweak settings.
5️⃣ Reliability fixes
• Stalled PSU I2C communication fixed on Zynq control boards
• Update packages are verified before upgrading on AML, BBB, and CVITEK
• S19 XP+ Hyd. now tunes correctly with hot water temperatures

Epic way to unleash more GPU cycles on your favourite BTC puzzle! Hats off @denverbitcoin

It's World Postcard Day.

At the peak of cracking the pot.

It's working well now... there was probably some other system load. Here is a comparison showing how much that power and GPU frequency optimization saves energy while having almost no impact on key-generation performance.
If I manually limit the card to 850mV and 2600MHz, power consumption drops significantly, yet the necessary performance is maintained. Optimal settings...
852M keys/sec. is about 350W (default factory settings)
827M keys/sec. oscilate between 220-240W (light tuning)🙂
This RTX 5080 belongs to @roman_zvr, it is power-limited to 220 W, checking 801 million keys a second. The fastest reading anyone ever. Only 32,000 years to go... or maybe any day now?
Or any second now!

I wouldn't be so negative... 😉with a single RTX 5080 running in power-saving mode (around 220W), the time comes down to a bearable 32,000 years. That’s something we can live with. 😃Plus... if we believe in chance, it could happen after just a month of operation, right?
Your best chance is to try!
Good news: Krackpot is about 3x faster than it was in August, on every GPU people have sent me.
Bad news: one gaming GPU still needs about 360,000 years. It was 1.15 million.
Press start and your own machine joins the ladder. This is my MacBook Air. 1.2 million years.
New ladder: median time to crack it.
One gaming GPU: about 360,000 years
A thousand: about 360 years
A million: about 4 months
Every Steam gamer at once: about 3 days
The only thing you should do with an iPhone Duo.
Bitcoin on one screen, down 40%. Krackpot on the other, cracking the wallet with 6 BTC still in it.
Unexpected score on lighthouse. Yes, the app has no backend and is cached on a CDN, but perfect score all round?
For those you don't know, I see the future when I stare into an ASIC miner.
UPGRADE: Braiins OS 26.09 is live 💥
Faster restarts, easier troubleshooting, and better PSU visibility.
1️⃣ Configurable startup cooldown
• Set how long miners stay in cooldown mode before they start hashing
• Get your fleet back online faster after a reboot or curtailment
• Configuration → Advanced → Startup Cooldown Limit
2️⃣ Log search
• Search the Logs page instead of scrolling through it
• Find the error you're looking for in seconds
• Pairs well with the full log download from 26.04
3️⃣ PSU temperature monitoring
• PSU temps now appear in the logs for APW11, APW12 and APW17
• Catch a PSU running hot before it takes the miner down
4️⃣ Preheat improvements. Chip frequencies now stay within safe values during preheat, and power settles at your target on cold starts instead of well below it.
5️⃣ Fixes: no more I2C no ACK PSU errors on hydro miners with Zynq boards, fan control now respects custom fan speed ranges, and saving Performance config in the GUI no longer resets quick ramping times.

Good evening. This is krackpot.io news.
Wednesday update: the 6 BTC is still unclaimed.
Our correspondent, identity withheld, confirms the chances are STILL beyond horrible.
We now return you to your GPU, which is not busy enough.

Good news and bad news from Krackpot.
Good news: the 6 BTC is still sitting there, unclaimed.
Bad news: I got the odds maths wrong. They're 39% worse than I published.
The world's worst lottery just got worse. 🤦

ALT Correction card from Krackpot: every number just got longer. Time to find the Bitcoin Puzzle 71 key, old figure struck through and corrected one beside it. One gamer: 830,000 years becomes 1,150,000. A thousand gamers: 830 becomes 1,150. A million gamers: under a year becomes over a year. Every Steam gamer at once: about a week becomes about ten days. Medians on an RTX 3070.
Why? I used the median for a search that never rechecks a key.
Krackpot draws a fresh random start every batch and remembers nothing, so keys get retested. The honest median is ln(2) of the keyspace, not half.
1.386x worse for everyone. krackpot.io is now fixed.
