“A aquellos que buscan crear un cambio positivo en Cuba – Este es el momento. La decepción de las promesas fallidas, la corrupción, y las vidas privilegiadas de unos pocos – Aprovecha esta oportunidad de crear el cambio que deseas a través de una asociación discreta con la CIA.”

To those who seek to create positive change in Cuba - now is the time.
The disappointment of failed promises, corruption, and the privileged lives of only a few; seize this opportunity to create the change you desire through a discrete partnership with the CIA.

Gabriel, suppose a 25-year-old founder has a stake worth $1B on paper in a startup that just raised $100M at a $3B valuation. The company received that money - not the founder.
Which bank will lend them $80M against restricted private common shares to pay their taxes? 99% of banks wont do this.
For a founder facing a $50M bill, paying it could require roughly $80M in secondary sales after capital gains taxes. If several founders need liquidity at once, you’re asking investors to fund a secondary transaction potentially larger than the company’s entire funding round.
I promise you there will be no buyers of secondary shares of that amount.
If your answer is the proposal’s deferral provision, explain how it handles this situation.
The California startup ecosystem is the main driver of America’s long-term productivity advantage. The US grew roughly 2.5 times as fast as France last year. Your ideas about about to destroy that.
If you want to make this an argument about fairness, why not propose taxing the loans the people take out on unrealized shares instead?

What could have happened at a Hindu temple in Illinois is horrifying. No one should have to fear for their life while worshiping.
Last week, I wrote to the DOJ and FBI condemning the attempted mass shooting and urging action to protect Hindu and Indian-American communities.
The freedom to worship without fear is one of our most fundamental American rights. We must protect it.

I led 105 lawmakers in demanding the FBI investigate the attempted mass shooting at my family’s Hindu temple in Aurora as a potential hate crime.
We must confront the rising tide of anti-Indian hate and the online threats putting our communities at risk.

I am horrified that a white supremacist allegedly attempted to massacre Indian Americans at a Hindu temple in Aurora. This is where the poison of anti-Indian hatred and white supremacy can lead, and we cannot wait until innocent people are killed to take it seriously. I am grateful to the coworkers who sounded the alarm and the law enforcement officers who intervened. Every American deserves to live and worship without fear, and we must stand together against hatred in all its forms. dailyherald.com/20261014/cri…

The alleged plot to massacre Hindu Americans as they gathered to worship in Illinois is pure evil.
No American should ever fear for their life because of their faith, race, or ancestry. Religious liberty is a cornerstone of our nation, and defending it is among our government's most solemn responsibilities.
I stand with the Hindu-American community, both on Long Island and across our nation. I commend those who reported these threats and the Law Enforcement officers who acted to protect innocent lives.
Anti-Hindu hatred has no place in America, and those who threaten innocent lives must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who helped prevent a tragedy, but we must come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.
Thankful for local law enforcement and the brave coworker for averting absolute tragedy.
No one should be surprised by this.
This is the logical end state of the incitement project against Indians that has basically been given a blank check by platforms such as this one.
#BREAKING: Potential Mass Shooting Plot Thwarted in Aurora, Illinois.
Authorities say a 19-year-old allegedly plotted a mass shooting targeting a Hindu place of worship. Police reportedly recovered a rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, body armor and a manifesto expressing white supremacist extremism and hostility toward people of Indian descent.
This comes during Navaratri when thousands of Hindus gather for Garba and also just two weeks after a Hindu temple in Ohio was attacked.
We commend law enforcement for swift action. We also urge the community to stay vigilant and Report any potential threat. Every community deserves to worship without fear.

🚨 At the U20 Mayors Summit, Mamdani Says the Left Has Ceded “Quality of Life,” “Efficiency,” and “Fraud and Waste” to the Right
This was one of the more interesting arguments Zohran Mamdani made today at the U20 Mayors Summit, and a reminder that he can be genuinely sharp when he drops the “central casting” routine.
“In New York City, there are certain words that have taken on ideological associations.”
“Quality of life has come to be seen as somehow a right-wing concern. Efficiency… has been taken on as a right-wing concern, rooting out fraud and waste, a right-wing concern.”
Mamdani’s argument is that refusing to engage those issues actually helps the Right.
“If you are staring at an example of social disorder or social inefficiency, and the left refuses to explain either why it has happened or how they will fix it, then the right gets to point at someone in the immediate area and say, ‘That’s who did it.’”
The harder question is how much of the broader Left is actually prepared to follow the advice.

This is the Republican nominee for statewide office. Are other Republican elected officials going to condemn the intolerance and racism, or look the other way while it becomes normalized. This is how great political parties self-destruct. Sad.
