An alert off-duty police constable helped uncover the history of a scooter stolen six years ago after spotting two teenagers with the suspicious vehicle at a petrol pump in Borivli West. Constable Prasad Sanjay Salunkhe noticed that the scooter had no rear number plate and questioned the youths, who failed to give satisfactory answers. Further checks by traffic constable Sushant Mohite revealed that the TVS scooter belonged to a Bhiwandi resident, Santosh Vaghela, who had reported it stolen in September 2020. We have taken up the long-pending DP Road clearance work at Koldongri. The DP Road connecting Saiwadi Main Road to Sahar Road was proposed and approved in 2008, yet despite the approval, the project has remained stalled for nearly 18 years, with no resolution to date. श्वेता, उर्मिला, प्रतिमा, राम निकेतन आणि युनायटेड १४ या सोसायट्यांसह परिसरातील इतर अनेक सोसायट्यांच्या रहिवाशांसोबत यासंदर्भात बैठक घेतली. गेली अनेक दशके अत्यंत अरुंद रस्त्यांमुळे या रहिवाशांना आपल्या घरापर्यंत पोहोचताना मोठ्या अडचणींचा सामना करावा लागत आहे. अपुऱ्या रस्त्यांमुळे परिसरातील वाहतुकीचाही प्रश्न गंभीर बनला आहे. या बैठकीत येत्या दोन महिन्यांत डी.पी. रोडचे क्लिअरन्स पूर्ण करून रस्ता खुला करण्याची ग्वाही आम्ही दिली. तसेच, रस्त्याच्या कामामुळे बाधित होणाऱ्या कुटुंबीयांचे अंधेरीतच सुरक्षित स्थलांतर व्हावे, यासाठी आवश्यक ती काळजी घेतली जावी, या संदर्भात सातत्याने पाठपुरावा करण्याची ग्वाहीही रहिवाशांना दिली.
