As a northerner in a southern hospital I had absolutely no idea when to prescribe this medication
I’m having a wave of patients atm with either challenging-to-treat or even refractory postural hypotension and I’m ngl I do find it a heart sink condition to manage
Has anyone else noticed the BMJ is becoming increasingly critical of trans people and trans healthcare?

A patient with GI bleeding can be in shock despite having a normal blood pressure (Class 1 and 2 shock).
A low blood pressure indicates Class 3+ shock, equating to at least 1500ml of intravascular volume deficit.

Worked the weekend. Fri-Sun 8.30-21.30. No tube or trains so up at 6.15, home at 10.15. Med Reg for the entire hospital except Acute. And today? Three emergency emails and phone calls re events at the weekend. LEAVE ME ALONE
I’m angry that some of my patients haven’t had bloods but who is it that forgot to put them out yesterday??
