When we first started creating shorts with @fringe_film, a lot of them were inspired by fanfics and web novels.
This lead us to making rom coms on IG with over 15 million views. Audiences ARE willing to connect with ai animated characters and stories. We saw fandoms being built in real time.
The Hinge Chronicles is bringing that back with a more modern twist.

Trust Fund Time Machine was an experiment @fringe_film to make a 10-minute pilot episode.
We came up with a script, styled the characters, thought about character relationships, designed settings, and fed all of this into Fringe to help us make this show.
We experimented with different workflows within ai animation and editing to get as close as we could to good continuity, voice design, and character consistency.

We are about to enter a new era of film abundance where independent creators are able to produce hollywood/disney level stuff. Leveling the playing field for film makers will result in more competition, higher quality content and more optionality for viewers, ending an era of Netflix slop.
