Thank you so much @bonnie_langford. Wonderful show this afternoon 🙏🇫🇷✊️🎶❤️ @lesmisofficial and it has made my daughter's day that you signed her programme too. We appreciate your kindness.
Very much looking forward to contributing to this training with the inspiring @lisntell. I believe there are still a few spaces available for SLTs and other professionals keen to bring storytelling practice into their work...

Delighted that ‘Stuttering & the social model’ written together with Chris Constantino & @Patrick1992C has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Communication Disorders @ODC2021 Special Issue. Free access to read & download until 22/04/22: authors.elsevier.com/c/1egxq… Enjoy!
Such an interesting paper. Thanks @Occ4LifeLtd for drawing my attention to it. Now wondering about links between profanity, emotional literacy, and positive mental health outcomes. Particularly for populations (#AAC users?) where access to such language may be limited/withheld.

This is so very true. Speaking as an #SLT, so many good communication outcomes in the end are linked to good postural management. Not to mention quality of life and wellbeing.
Good work @allontheboard 👍
Today is ‘Developmental Language Disorder (or DLD) Awareness day’. It’s an invisible disorder. Let’s help spread awareness and if you think that you or someone you love may have DLD please seek support.

Thank you #SaLTBookGrp 🌷. Great to make connections tonight, and chat about what it means to be an SLT... Very much looking forward to future gatherings. 📖💬
If you can get your hands on this month's @OTnews, do read this fantastic article about the #GoodPostureWeek initiative at @treloars . As an SLT it's something I'm so proud to have been involved with. OT/PT/SLT joint working in practice @rcslt #selfadvocacy #mysltday
Sitting down to read this month's #OTNews is particularly exciting this month! Sharing our @treloars #GoodPostureWeek project to hopefully inspire others 👍 @sltbubble As I return to work from mat leave next month, I can't help thinking about what our next event could be 🤔
Interesting article...
@lisntell "The team found that participants were on average 20 per cent more likely to hear stress on a syllable if there was a beat gesture on it."

Absolutely THIS!
We’ve published new guidance supporting speech and language in the early years and early identification of additional needs helping give all children the #beststartinlife. Read more: gov.uk/government/publicatio…

ALT Quote Card Professor Viv Bennett CBE, Chief Nurse and Director Maternity and Early Years, PHE: “Evidence clearly shows speech and language development in the early years really matters for children to thrive socially and educationally. Communication skills also impact on longer term health and wellbeing outcomes and over 1000 health visitors have had enhanced training to provide early interventions. This new guidance will support local areas to develop robust inter-agency pathways to boost delivery.”
Thank you @lisntell, very proud of this young man, producing music from what he knows and feels.
