Ainsley asks why “they/them” for one person and her non-binary roommate with a ferret loses it. Peak college roommate energy. She was right. Landman

She could have reported to the police ! NO ?
I’ve decided to divorce my husband. Yesterday, my 15-year-old daughter came home from school in tears. Apparently, another student’s phone had been found inside her backpack, and the school had suspended her for three days. “Mom, I swear I didn’t steal it,” she kept saying through her tears. I believed her. My husband didn’t. “This is what happens when you keep defending her,” he said to me. “You make excuses for everything she does. That’s why she’s becoming a liar.” My daughter started crying even harder. “Hold on. Can we at least hear her side of the story first?” I asked. My husband turned toward me. “When I’m disciplining this child, keep your mouth shut.” Something inside me snapped. I’d spent years trying to make our family work, but watching my daughter cry while the man she called Dad treated her like a criminal was something I couldn’t ignore anymore. I didn’t argue with him. I simply took my daughter to her bedroom, held her while she cried, and promised her we’d figure everything out. But later that night, I decided to find out what had really happened.
