This is a great idea from Hanna! Please think about doing this so you can go back and give credit to the authors you read off line this coming month 💚

Softies. Since the AO3 apocalypse will be lasting a little longer than we hoped… what are we doing with ourselves?! Are you… 👀 Rereading an old favourite?
📥 Diving into your pre downloaded fics?
📝 Finally tackling that WIP you've been meaning to write?
✍️ Beta reading or editing?
📚 Sorting your SoftGoods shelves?
Or have you found another way to survive the great fic drought? Tell us what you're doing! It might give someone else an idea for getting through this. 💚

While we wait for AO3 to return, let's give ourselves something else to scream about. 😘💚 Softies, in the spirit of Halloween, it's time to air some grievances. 👀 Which character death will you NEVER forgive the author for? 💀🪦 The character you still mourn, the death that made you gasp, or maybe the author you have still not forgiven. Who are you naming? 😉 💚 (And please add a spoiler warning if needed!)

SOFTGOODS UPDATE: Since a lot of us are using Google Drive as a temp archive while ao3 is down, I added support for Drive links. Click share on an epub, pdf, or html file in a public Drive, drop it into SoftGoods, & click save. It will not only save the link to the Drive but also try to find the original ao3 link and put that under the additional links. Let me know if you have any issues and I will try to fix it tomorrow. 💙

Please check out the latest status from ao3 💙 otwstatus.org/

One more archive. It sure if has been posted yet drive.google.com/drive/folde…

Here is another archive 💙

Reposting a few archives shared by some softies. 💙

🎃💀 SOFTIES, THIS IS NOT A HALLOWEEN JOKE! Something really scary has happened! .
.
.
. AO3 is down for maintenance… potentially for 12+ hours. 😱 Who among us was prepared for this nightmare? Who has lost the fic they were halfway through reading? Who reads in AO3 and is currently fighting for their life? 😭😂 If you’ve got your downloads ready, spare a thought for the unprepared among us! 🫡 May you all survive the AO3 apocalypse! 💀👀💚

🎃👻 A little Halloween warning, Softies! Between the costumes, the candy and the spooky shenanigans, don't forget to log your October reading before the month disappears into the night! 💀📚 Get those stats ready and grab your screenshots for #OctoberRollCall on Halloween! 💚

You're trapped in a haunted house and the only way out is to read one fic. 👀 🎃 A 500k-word slow burn
👻 A 100k-word horror
🧛 An enemies-to-lovers vampire AU
🐺 An omegaverse you've never read before What are you choosing? 💚

As we approach Halloween I have a question! What fanfic has genuinely scared you? 😱 The kind of scared where you had to put your phone down and walk away👀💚 #NosyOlive

Softies, let's talk about cliffhangers! What's the most BRUTAL cliffhanger you've ever been left with? The end of a chapter that made you want to throw your phone.
The end of a fic that left you staring at the wall.
The WIP update that has you checking AO3 like it's your full-time job. 👀 Which fic did this to you? Please give people a heads-up if there’s spoilers in your answer?! 💚

Sometimes, you pick up a book and find a friend you didn't know you were looking for. 🤝 They could be the characters who live in your heart long after you've finished reading. Or sometimes they're the people you meet along the way; in comments, in conversations, and in a shared love of the same stories.🫶🏻📕 Funny how stories can make the world feel a little less big, isn't it? 🥹💚
