If you’re an adult and you’re not reading middle grade books, you’re failing yourself. Here’s why.
The MG books I’m talking about are written for kids between 8-14, and before you start coming at me saying kids books are for children and therefore are boring and can’t fully
One day I will jump on my soapbox to talk about how important it is for adults to read middle grade books…… #BookTwitter
Hosted my first workshop last night looking at confidence for creatives, and why it can be so hard to maintain. It’s definitely something I work on every day patreon.com/posts/confidence…
Having a blast playing with scanned textures & limited colour pallets 💫 instagram.com/p/C6_wgTiqS2x/…

We are less than £75 away from topping £10,000 in the #BookmarkProject auction which would have been unbelievable 8 years ago. Can we reach it tonight? Place a bid here jumblebee.co.uk/bookmarkproj… Please RT

Just me ’n @sonispeight drawing deliberately terrible pictures of each other, nothing to see here 😝
Today is a day I’m allowing myself to be distracted.
📦📦📦
Packing is slow progress when I find art supplies & books I’ve not used for a while. So today I’m stopping to play.

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but this year I will be making a wish. The same wish I’ve been making for weeks now.

I’m taking part in #kidlitforpeace - a charity art raffle with prizes from U.K. & Ireland’s kid’s book authors & illustrators. We’re raising funds for Palestine Children’s Relief Fund on JustGiving. This charity sends urgently needed medical & humanitarian aid to children in Gaza

Four illustrators whose work I’ve loved for a very long time: Maurice Sendak, Bill Watterson, Tomie dePaola, Helen Oxenbury 💛✍️ #NationalIllustrationDay
It’s #NationalIllustrationDay today. I’ve been trying to think back to which illustrators are most evocative of my childhood. Quentin Blake, obviously. Hergé. Scarry. The Ladybird illustrators, numerous books of facts, particularly cutaways and drawings full of detail.
