Over the last year, hate-related incidents in Vancouver have doubled. Would you know what to do if you witnessed this type of crime taking place? Two women working to end racial violence reflect on the power bystanders have to support victims.

THIS WILL LIKELY MAKE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE SAID. Last week, the remains of 215 children were found at a former residential school. They were all victims of racism. A few days ago, 4 people were murdered in yet another act of racism. Keep reading. (1/10)

What happened in Minneapolis is not just about one specific violent incident. It’s about systemic violence as well. This absurd headline from the Minneapolis Police Dept. drives that home. In a better world it would read “Minneapolis cop kills resident in broad daylight.”

Thank you @BC_EHS for allowing us to spend a day with the compassionate medics of bicycle squad 248 in Vancouver's DTES. It was a humbling reminder of the immense suffering these residents face. @liam_britten @Ben_Nelms @sarahblyth youtube.com/watch?v=ZhjX6Sdt…

HUGE WIN! After telling the 2-year it was time to go to sleep last night.... We played the 'Why?' game for about 20 rounds... I made it all the way down to "because carbon is the universal building block for life as we know it" and he conceded defeat 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

The @RefillStop is one of my favourite additions to downtown #NewWest. They’re hanging in as a small biz but they’re too new for federal $ aid money so let’s help them ourselves. Stop by (or order delivery) and OH YEAH feel good about helping the environment too
