Next month, Sacramento will get a new video rental store. Does that mean physical media is back? (By @sonoraslater) comstocksmag.com/web-only/sa…
Writing an article about McSorley's Old Ale House for @CHOW and came across this piece from the NYT's archives (1970). @GraceNY I believe is the author and all the women she interviewed were great — highly recommend the quick read!

Sacramento is installing bike lanes to help meet California climate goals…In order to reach net-zero carbon, the mayor’s commission noted that active transportation has to be a “safe and attractive” option. sacbee.com/news/environment/… sacbee.com/news/environment/… @sonoraslater
Stay tuned as my last few articles for The Bee make their way out into the wild! this one about a tipless brewery was so much fun to write — many, many thanks to Emilie for her help editing as I squeezed as many articles as I could into my last few weeks!
The lovely @sonoraslater finished up her internship @sacbee_news last week, but her work lives on as we publish her final pieces of the summer. This one by her & @xmphotos is near and dear to me as I'm a @TouchstoneClimb patron. 🧗🏽♀️🍻 sacbee.com/news/business/art…

@sonoraslater is online answering questions you might have about ultra-white paint and its potential use in places like Sacramento that struggle with extreme heat🥵

You might have read about how a @LifeAtPurdue lab is developing the whitest pain on Earth. @sonoraslater picked this up and reported what on what it could mean for Sacramento's residents (housed & unhoused) and for the climate. #solutionsjournalism 🌎 sacbee.com/news/environment/…

So cool learning about the practical ways that having a shared language and even culture can improve patient outcomes, meeting some extremely talented, passionate students... and getting to wear scrubs 😶
A fun article, and one where I learned a lot. Give it a read!
A 2018 UCLA analysis found that w/current graduation rate of Latino medical students from CA schools, it would take 500 years to make up the gap in Latino physicians per 100K Latino residents of the state. #latinosinmedicine
