Submitted our last group assignment ever! Thankyou @CourtneyRedSP for the wonderful learning journey so far. Can’t wait to continue. #slp2b #integratedpractice #futureisclose also thanks to the cutest bunch of future SLPS for handling me 😂
Thankful for @GoSHspeech for giving @graciethesp and I the opportunity of having our final adult placement block at a hospital! We've had so much hands on experience working with dysphagic clients. Looking forward to watching an MBS tmrw! #goshspeech #goshspeech96131 #dysphagia
Check out this exciting collaboration with @SpeechPathAus and @EarlyChildAust! Would highly recommend mums and dads (to be), educators and speechies to check this out!
Save the date! Early Learning Matters Week is on from 17-21 October 2022. The theme is ‘Learning though play’. The week raises an awareness of the importance of early learning and the difference the profession makes. #earlylearningmatters @EarlyChildAust earlylearningmatters.org.au/…'.
Today is #AlliedHealthProfessionsDay! Allied health professionals are health care professionals who play a crucial role in delivering care to patients in different stages of life and settings. What comes to mind when you hear "allied health"?

Myth: AAC is only for non-verbal children.
Fact: AAC can actually enhance a child's language and communication by empowering them to communicate with their best preferred method.
Throwback to @BronwynHemsley's AAC lectures.

Had a catch up with @emily_au_ and @SpeechieN today and bonded over our favourite childhood picture books. Use picture books to teach little ones more than vocabulary and literacy...we use these to teach pragmatics and social skills too! #goshspeech #goshspeech96131 #literacy
Every day I am reminded of how lucky our cohort is to be taught by such amazing academics. Just had a read of @LucyEBryant and @BronwynHemsley's research paper.
AAC + AR together will bring amazing user engagement and empower communication.

Had an #AR research idea during #COVID19 lockdown. Playing with the @Microsoft @HoloLens and thinking about #VisualSupports Stayed up half the night plotting it out. So excited it's now #OpenAccess. Duoethnography with @BronwynHemsley

Pursuant to an ILC Grant, we are, along with @AGOSCI finalising a new website: "The Communication Hub". The Association is now seeking member feedback on the draft website via a survey. More info about its purpose and the site is available online. speechpathologyaustralia.org…

I cannot believe I finished my final #paediatricplacement with @slp_chloe @speechiee_sam. I had the great privilege of learning to deliver a wide range of assessments and even help provide therapy to a child with vowel distortions! #speechpathology
I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity for a hospital placement with @graciethesp. Really hoping to get some hands on experience in the acute ward this final placement block 😌 @GoSHspeech #goshspeech @goshspeech96131 #speech
My client was almost non-verbal when we first met, only using some sounds and gesturing. We have created 20 target 2-syllable nonwords using ReST therapy manual to practice their stress and articulation of sounds. We are tracking at 80% accuracy this week! #cas #goshspeech96131

With sadness, we share the passing of Rick Creech.
Rick Creech was an educational consultant with the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN), a recipient of the 2004 Edwin and Esther Prentke AAC Distinguished Lecture award given by ASHA, and an AAC user
These last few weeks of Voice Disorders workshops have really got me thinking how I use my voice and how I can better take care of it...especially since I had a karaoke night out not long ago...😵 @CathGregorySP #vocalrest #vocalhygeine #goshspeech #goshspeech96131
And...that's a wrap for Week 6! 8 more weeks of class for this semester. I have been telling everyone how this semester feels like it's dragging on, but also flying by at the same time. I wonder if anyone else feels that way. 🤔 #goshspeech #goshspeech96131

Father’s Day is approaching this Sunday!🧔🏻♂️👔I found some lovely picture books at my local library-great for eliciting early #language skills and #speech sound development. Book sharing is a powerful and quick activity which evidently improves vocabulary.
