They REALLY need to review the false start rule of 0.100. Humans can react faster than that, from ear to foot pressure.
for decades, the Jonas Mureika calculator has always been the defacto standard 😀

@rhasidatadeleke’s winning ‘windy’ time in Texas on Saturday of 10.84 secs (3.5m/s) converts to a ‘legal’ 10.89 secs according to European Journal of Sport Science windspeed adjustment calculator…
Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the race photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. (Joke copied from @TheRealMerb)
A shoutout to @TheProteinWorks for great customer support. I had a problem with one of my previous orders, used the online chat yesterday, and they expedited the replacement today via DPD! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Traditional Boston Marathon finishers were given beef stew after the race!
Due to current international shipping issues the medals didn’t arrive for @NessHalfMar and a local baker came up with these alternative medals. Surely the way forwards for all races rather than something that just gets dumped in a drawer? @scotathletics @scottishtri
a 400m & 400mH double would be great to witness, along with the mixed 4x400 and the 4x400 relay. We know the usual suspects (hint hint) right?

Imagine (by John Lennon):
1) Pole Vault is measured by Height+Clearance
2) Long Jump measured where you actually jumped
3) Sprints results = Time minus Reaction Time. Then @YohanBlake would be the 200m WR holder.
Sounds absurd? Maybe because it is?
This is really cool, my PR for 100m is 10.92 (set in 1991). Now I can visualise if I raced Bolt in his 9.58 WR. The human body is a wonderful tool, some are blessed with genetics and 4-8 years of solid training.
There is nothing 'wrong' with Track & Field. I don't know why there is a need for constant rule changes, like long jump take off boards, frequency of WC, round advancements, name changes, ranking, etc. If anything, CHANGE THE REACTION TIME FOR FALSE STARTS TO 0.080 OR 0.060
This is a true testament to the depth of the Sprints program, along with teamwork and no egos. If a coach asked me to run the 4x400, my response is always "great, which leg?"
If this is not a successful team work…
12 athletes involved in the 4x400 gold and bronze medals for Netherlands today!!
6 women contributed to the title
6 men were involved in the bronze medal!
And a whole staff around!

After Atlanta 96, and before the 150m Skydome 97, we had Donovan & MJ on the SAME TEAM! We need more of this in T&F. youtube.com/watch?v=1ZDvjFBs…
I saw how they did this, by using a drone. Can you image if someone clears the height, then the bar get accidentally knocked down by the drone? Like a Segway accidentally knocking down @usainbolt from behind!
A lot of people don't realise this, but when you leave a tip on a credit card, the restaurant has a right to keep 3-4% of that tip, as they'll lose it on transaction fees. I've seen servers get ZERO paycheck (at $4/hour) because 4% of all credit card tips were greater than pay.
Man refusing to tip says servers shouldn’t “get 25%” for doing their job.
"It used to be you give a tip if someone gave exceptional service," he continues. "When was the last time you got exceptional service anywhere? It's just expected."
“You don't get 25 percent because you did your job." - Dustin Anderson
The lesson here:
1) try to give a cash tip. A fiver to tenner goes a long way, and brings big smiles. Or an Andrew Jackson.
2) AMEX is the worst offender at 3.9% but too bad, I want my Avios 1.5X points on the total bill. #SorryNotSorry .
1. Eat better. You can't out-train a bad diet!
2. Sleep more. Tough as a student due to guilt of not studying. Maybe ditch the part-time job as a bouncer, too.
3. Mobility is key, not stretching. Maybe synonymous, but range of motion has a big factor in sprints.
I was asked about the three things I’ve changed my mind on over my coaching career. There’s hundreds — but here’s a few.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on them — as well as things YOU’VE changed in your career?
@les7spellman ? @JordanStrength ? @_CoachGriffin ? @MattPrice_HP ?
Man, I look sooooo young in this picture.
I think it was 2003.
