‼️ The @bankofengland is punishing the victims, not the people responsible. Prices are not rising bc British families are recklessly spending too much. They are rising because Donald Trump’s war has disrupted global energy supplies, Putin’s war has destabilised Europe, and Brexit has made Britain poorer, weaker and more exposed to every international shock. The Bank’s own figures show that energy and fuel account for most of the inflation above its target. It admits there is still only limited evidence of a wage-price spiral. Yet its answer is to punish ordinary people with higher mortgages, falling house prices, collapsing businesses and reduced living standards. Trump lights the fire. Putin pours on petrol. Brexit removes Britain’s fire doors. Then the Bank of England arrives, not with water, but with a wrecking ball. It cannot stop the wars or reverse Brexit, so it crushes domestic demand until British people are too poor to pay the higher prices. This doesn’t fight the cause of inflation, it is accelerating the economic collapse those external shocks have already set in motion.
🆘 ⚠️ The foundations of the British economy are already shaking. House prices are falling. Mortgage approvals are collapsing. Small businesses are disappearing. Families face falling real incomes and energy bills they cannot control. The @bankofengland knows all this. Its own report records the weakening housing market, declining mortgage demand and tighter credit for SMEs. Yet it has arrived with a crane and swung a wrecking ball into the building. Higher rates mean larger mortgages, falling property values, more arrears and repossessions, weaker investment, business failures and greater pressure on renters. The Bank calls this “restrictive monetary policy”. In plain English, it is deliberate destruction: making people poorer until they can no longer afford their mortgage! The inflation is being driven principally by war and imported energy, not a British spending boom. Calling this a cure is dishonest. It is an aggressive monetary intervention whose destructive consequences are known in advance. When the foundations are shaking, responsible authorities reinforce the building. They do not attack it with a wrecking ball.

I keep saying it & I will keep ON saying it: Andy Burnham is fucking USELESS!!! He REFUSES to halt new #datacentres developments; he backs Trump's stikes on Iran thus prolonging the war & refuses to renationalise utilities. #gas #ripoffBritain
🚨🇬🇧 NEW: The UK’s gas use is set to surge by 40% year on year driven by data centre demand

Extremely tedious this absurd BBC business of interjecting “of course the mass killers would deny they’re mass killers.” And it’s not a consistent policy. Netanyahu given this fig leaf for his war crimes in a way Putin never would be.
Victoria Derbyshire has faced a wave of criticism after defending the Israeli government’s position when Bernie Sanders described it as 'extremist' during an appearance on BBC Newsnight 🗣️'Why are we still doing this?'

NEW: 🇬🇧 For the first time in years, the Bank of England has raised interest rates, taking them from 3.75% to 4% This is being done to “tackle inflation” caused by the Ukraine and Iran war and massive deficit spending. But it won’t fix any of that. You can’t print fuel. You can print homes. You can’t print resources. You can’t print peace. What this will actually do is kill demand, that means less jobs, less businesses, less pay, higher prices, higher mortgage payments, higher rents, worse lives. Until eventually, the economy crashes. A (deflationary) depression comes. That’s the future in the UK, Europe, America and much of the rest of the world.

The BBC is only a small part of the problem. The big issue is that the UK as a whole needs to decouple itself from Israel.
The BBC is speaking on behalf of the Israeli government. IT’S TIME TO DECOUPLE ISRAEL FROM THE BBC.

I never believed in demons until I learned about Israel.
Israeli soldiers are killing one woman every other day in Gaza for the past 13 months of the U.S.-monitored “ceasefire,” often by firing directly into tents sheltering displaced families, and often filming themselves firing for fun and posting the videos on social media. At least 1,602 Palestinians, including 160 women and 326 children, have been killed since Israel agreed to a ceasefire 13 months ago, according to Palestinian authorities. Drop Site spoke to the devastated brother of a woman killed today, who said his family spends entire days lying flat inside their tent, terrified of being shot if they stand up and step outside.

This Lord of Israel denies the genocide in Gaza. @LordIanAustin you’re on the wrong side of history
Join us on Sunday from 10:30am Birmingham voted 54–19 to review its financial links to Israel. Ian Austin, the UK’s 'trade envoy' to Israel lost his s*** in the Lords. Councillor Raihaan Abbas joins us to discuss the vote, the backlash and what happens next.👇

British "journalists" must be the most cowardly in the world. Do they know (or care) about the number of real journalists who have been murdered by Israel in Palestine and in Lebanon?
If Senator El-Sayed tried to make this speech on BBC he would be interrupted every 10 seconds by a Victoria Derbyshire or a Laura Kuensberg saying: "Israel would deny this, Israel would deny this...". Even US media tolerates more free comment on Israel than British TV.

Raffi Berg. Middle East news editor at Beeb. Sure you know already. Openly shows his admiration for Mossad. Presenters all spineless puppets and follow instructions. No dignity nor self worth. They're certainly not journalists.
This absurd interjection by BBC interviewers each time a supporter of Palestine is questioned is so common nowadays it must be an instruction from on high.
