I save things I never find again. I build a product about that with friends. In between, I get stuck, learn things the hard way, and post the unglamorous version. I'm Harshit. Student in Delhi × Chennai. This account is my build log - Tagzzs, the daily mess, and whatever I figure out along the way. Expect: - learnings from shipping - problems that don't make it into founder posts - the occasional jokes - the journey without the polish If that sounds useful, stay. Say hi below.

you build every feature a loud user asks for. your ui gets crowded. your core workflow gets buried. power users always ask for more buttons and custom views, but if a new user can't figure out the main action in five seconds, all those extra options just push people away.

injecting text into chatgpt or claude from a chrome extension is never simple as setting innertext on the input box. modern chat inputs run on prosemirror or react state, so if you don't dispatch a real input event after inserting the text the app thinks the box is still empty when you hit enter.

ai coding tools don't fix bad engineering habits, they just speed them up. if someone writes messy code without understanding the system, giving them cursor or claude just helps them ship a month of tech debt in a single afternoon. Both drafts are ready to copy and drop straight into the composer.

stripping utm tags from urls and hashing the raw text before calling your embedding api saves so much wasted compute in a capture app without basic deduplication upfront, saving the same link twice just pollutes your vector search with identical chunks fighting for the top result.

github just shared at universe that monthly commits jumped from 2.9 billion in august to 7.4 billion because of coding agents. code volume is more than doubling in two months while the number of human engineers reading pull requests stays the exact same. the hardest part of software over the next year won't be just shipping features, it'll be keeping repos from drowning in unreviewed agent code.

every developer on the timeline convincing themselves they need the new m6 macbook pro today. 90% of our workflow now is just running cursor/claude, 20+ chrome tabs, and waiting on network responses from claude or openai servers anyway.

i literally learned dsa and devops by watching kunal kushwaha's playlists. seeing him on a screen is one thing, but actually meeting him in real life at the hackathon today was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. @Col_ASY and i spent the event catching up with the exact mentors who shaped how we think about software. sitting down with @kunalstwt , @SaiyamPathak , and @piyushgarg_dev gave us some raw, high-signal insights on our vision for tagzzs, you just cannot get that kind of feedback from scrolling a timeline. building can feel pretty isolating until you get in a room full of people who have been exactly where you are and are actually willing to pull you up. massive thanks to all of you, the @awscloud team, and @WeMakeDevs for putting this hackathon together and making it possible. just speaking my heart out... :) Thank you bhaiya for hearing us out in this big event @kunalstwt @SaiyamPathak @piyushgarg_dev

- you put on ai chat siderbar on every screen. - your prompt tokens explode. - your users still use normal search . conversational chat looks flashy in demo clips, but when someone just wants to find a link they saved last week, typing a full sentence to an agent is way slower than a simple search bar.

people are arguing that a good developer with claude and cursor should finish 99% of coding tasks in a single day now. writing the code takes an afternoon, figuring out what actually deserves to exist still takes months, ai made building 10x faster which just means teams are shipping the wrong features at record speed.

the best productivity tool aren't the ones trying to organize your whole life with the complicated dashboards and daily scores. they're the ones that sit quietly in the background, grab what you need in one click, and never demand maintenance. if a tool requires its own daily habit just to keep the data clean, you're working for the software instead of the other way around.

everyone has claude, chatgpt, and cursor open in different tabs now but still spends half the day copying the same context back and forth because none of them share memory. models keep getting smarter every month while the way we pass context between them is still stuck on copy-paste.

spent saturday at the bharat builds tour by @WeMakeDevs with @spiderboyis went as undercover founders. pitched tagzzs to anyone who'd give us 2 mins (almost everyone lol), builders, students and @kunalstwt himself also got to chat with @piyushgarg_dev and @SaiyamPathak, super interesting conversations a few of them are trying it this week. asked them to be brutally honest, will share what they say

saving something to tagzzs is one click. getting it back is zero clicks, it shows up on its own when it's relevant.

most of tagzzs is automatic, things come back on their own when they're relevant. but when you know exactly what you're looking for, you just type `/tagzzs` inside the chat and search everything you've saved.

video editing is quite a headache for me. i love to code and build solutions, but building our own startup means we need to get out of our comfort zone. i have been jumping between 3 different platforms just to edit videos for different use cases, mostly because my editing skills are still below a beginner level. btw editing demo videos and will be posted soon by @Col_ASY
