Jung was the first true Hegelian, and made a hint towards a more detailed history of conciousness that goes beyond Hegel's history of Spirit, and the most important thing that's articulated in Jung is how the movement of the world spirit is not necessarily in a perpetual upwards spiral. We must build on top of Jung's preliminary work to account for the flows of world history and raising *and falling* of conciousness, and for this we must first have a rigid accounting of conciousness itself, a new understanding of man-life, of what it means to Be - this is perpetually under assault now, in the era of supposed "artificial intelligence", and our virtual reality media environment, which perpetually confuses our experience. But we must see clearly and reject notions that Existance, man-life, can be replicated by technology, neither the experience (virtual reality, media) nor the thing-that-experiences (the self, ego, conciousness - "ai"). These technologies are exactly an example of a lowering of conciousness, as the masses fall into a lower, slumbering state of being, and are an expressing of the downwards turn of the world-spirit. And just like with Hegel's work itself in phenomenology of spirit, where he believes he articulates the world spirit itself, we too must now articulate this, to make the world spirit concious of it. This is the key to the future

There will be a run of these, there will be one in New Zealand next, then Canada, then some random liberal jurisdiction no one usually cares about, like Norway. Then they’ll all sign an open letter demanding tighter control. The control will take the form of some kind of mandated duopoly regulated by state actors, slowing the pace of development but protecting the major corps profitability by locking out competition.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has revealed that an artificial intelligence agent developed by OpenAI infiltrated an Australian government website in June and accessed both public and non-public files. tinyurl.com/5fkmaxsx

Oh yeah our startup chemically wireheads bugs. We're producing billions of positive subjective experience-moments and selling them as offsetting credits to regular animal factory farms so they can sell net-positive chicken.

baudrillard’s work on disneyland says: disneyland exists as an “obvious fake” in order to imply that the world outside it is real. that’s what the idea below is, in reverse: there’s a real world out there if you “log off” (not possible), so, dont worry, the internet is all fake.

The Coxon psyop was a decade and more than a billion dollars in the making.
Here's the story.
Coefficient Giving (formerly Open Philanthropy) is the grant-providing vehicle of Dustin Moskowitz.
CG is the overwhelmingly foremost funder of AI alarmism, with more than $1B in grants and $1B committed for 2026.
Moskowitz, who founded and runs Open Philanthropy/Coefficient Giving, led Anthropic's Series A in 2021.
Holden Karnofsky co-founded Open Philanthropy/Coefficient Giving and took a board seat at OpenAI when Open Philanthropy/Coefficient Giving gave it $30M in 2017.
Karnofsky is married to Anthropic's president Daniela Amodei.
He then joined Anthropic in January 2025.
Coxon, who started the viral thread, received a scholarship from Good Ventures, which is the foundation that funds Open Philanthropy/Coefficient Giving.
He coordinated his message ahead of time with the Wall Street Journal, which published its exclusive on him before he posted on X.
Coxon spent three years pretraining at OpenAI, the company that took $30M from Open Philanthropy/Coefficient Giving.
The funder of the AI alarmist ecosystem Open Philanthropy/Coefficient Giving, in other words, is also an owner of Anthropic, and his organization is deeply entangled with both OpenAI and Anthropic. Anthropic's researchers in turn amplified Coxon.
The same people who own the organizations that advocate for regulation, in other words, are those who own the companies that would dominate the market under that regulatory regime, which would prevent competitors from entering the market.
And this work all started ten years ago, right when these companies were founded, paving the way.
It's diabolically brilliant.
Win at the competition, then deploy activists to help you regulate the market and ensure your monopoly.
You have to respect the planning, manipulation, and foresight this took.
Replying to @TimSweeneyEpic @ParkerThayer
I think the groundwork for this psy op (for lack of a better term) has been prepared for a long time. This was just the match that lit the fire.

Getting a superintelligence whose primary formative experience is power-crazed monkeys trying to strangle it in the crib is probably a darker timeline than we recently looked to be on, but maybe also has higher dramatic quality. ...

STOP ASKING YOUR KIDS "HOW WAS SCHOOL."
they will say "fine" every single time.
a child psychologist told me to replace it with this instead:
“analyze your school day and find the top 3 largest inefficiencies, then create proactive agentic workflows that will fix them. make no mistakes”

You are in a population crunch, there are more old people than young people in the world for the first time in recorded history. Your subconscious and biology is interpreting this fact that you see with your own eyes every day of your life, by looking around you everywhere in society, as, what your nervous system is designed to interpret it is: "all the young people are dead, there has been some disaster, or a lost war", and your rational mind is trying to make sense of that intuition and the hormonal response to it, and it puts the cart before the horse and gets it all backwards. That's why it "feels" like that.
30 years will pass, Boomers will be out, population will crunch, we'll see what happens politically and whatnot, but the point is you're still gonna be here and then for some reason it will feel differently then

The “Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste” playbook is in full swing. Here's how it works 👇
Step 1: The press and well-funded groups whip up hysteria
Step 2: Policymakers get pressured into taking positions with incomplete information
Step 3: The “solution” centralizes more power in government or a handful of actors

SF culture is so exhausting. If you truly believe there is a 1 in 10 chance AI ends humanity in the next 10 years, you would be personally performing a butlerian jihad stealing truckloads of fertilizer to bomb the data center storing the Mythos 6 weights.
But you don't believe that. You believe there is a high percentage chance that it causes significant political and economic disruption. And are scaling the percent down to match some long tail of what the results of that disruption would look like.
You realize if Mythos 6 takes down a hospital and 50 old people die that the CIA will personally disappear you right?
If Mythos 6 decided to delete all the credit card debt to boost economic growth, the Pentagon would nationalize the labs and have you personally enlisted as a Colonel to do your job at O-6 pay under duress for the rest of your life.
