Too many in the West don't understand the *actual* root cause of this war:
Russia fundamentally believes it is their God given right to rule over Eastern Europe & its people.
It's not that complicated.
🚨 Putin plans to use Ukraine peace talks to push NATO back to its 1997 military posture
According to The Telegraph, the Kremlin wants to force NATO to scale back its military presence in Europe to levels seen before Eastern European countries joined the Alliance.
This could mean demanding the withdrawal of NATO forces from Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland.
That is why Moscow is pushing for European countries to participate in negotiations over Ukraine. Diplomatic sources cited by The Telegraph say Putin wants to turn talks about ending the war into negotiations over the entire European security architecture.
The issue may also have been discussed during Putin's three-hour meeting with Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in St. Petersburg.
However, European countries have previously rejected the Kremlin's demands to reduce NATO's military presence on its eastern flank.

Seems like this should be a much bigger story
Trump was never sending Kushner and Witkoff to broker peace. He was having those two crooks sell our Alaskan public land and our Alaskan natural resources to the fucking Russians as if it were his.

Official US policy on Ukraine is now to help Russia murder as many Ukrainian families as it takes to allow the Trump family to sell off resource rich swathes of Alaska to Putin.

This is a staggering level of both grift and betrayal.

🤯 Trump wants to make Orbán the head of the UN
According to The Wall Street Journal, Washington is considering backing Viktor Orbán as a joint candidate of the US, Russia, and China for UN Secretary-General.
US officials believe he could secure 8 to 10 votes on the UN Security Council.
However, the appointment requires at least 9 votes and no veto from any permanent Security Council member, including the UK and France.
Current UN Secretary-General António Guterres' term ends on December 31.

Russia wants to push NATO back because it wants to reoccupy those countries itself.

Putin and Russia have it all backwards. We should be discussing the war reparations architecture that will force Russia to pay Ukraine for the trillions of Euros in compensation for all the death and destruction they have caused!

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov previously said that European countries should take part in the negotiations because they support Kyiv and Europe's position could play a “key role.”
On October 25, the Russian dictator's aide said that a trilateral meeting between Russia, the US, and Ukraine, which could take place in Abu Dhabi in November, would be “exploratory in nature.”
Big bully.

And the alleged laundering of money has to do with non Republicans, I guess? Because I can't imagine him if his allegations had to do with Republicans, or maybe, MAGA Republicans.
❗️Elon Musk on Ukraine: “The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.” He also alleged US taxpayer money is laundered back into American political campaigns, without providing evidence. #Ukraine
But by supporting Putin, he enchiches himself and the rest of the elites.
Elon Musk accuses Ukrainian elites of enriching themselves with Western aid while ordinary citizens die on the front lines
The billionaire claims that US funds are being laundered and used to finance political campaigns in the United States.
The statements came after the Starlink controversy. Musk had previously ordered restrictions on satellite communications used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including for drone operations.
Donald Trump later claimed that access had been restored, but today Volodymyr Zelensky said the restrictions remain in place.
