Lumis website has a new look.
And a "copy agent prompt" button to set up Lumis via its skill and docs.
One highlighter, 7 runtimes.
I fear svelte is probably going away in this LLM future of ours. Sveltes advantage was always better devex and ergonomics, and that matters a lot less when most of your frontend needs can be accomplished by an llm.
What is occurring and has been occurring in Gaza is not a war, it is more akin to Nazi Germany putting down the uprising in the Warsaw ghettoβit is a military that has already occupied a region re-exerting complete military control via extreme violence.
I have to announce one piece of software I was absolutely sleeping on: @obsdmd. It is absolutely the vim/emacs of notes apps. A generationally important piece of software for power users.
I have to give extra praise for the Bases core plugin. It basically allows you to database-ify all your notes, like notion, but in simple markdown that you can just own.

π Mishka CMS 0.0.1 is out!
An open source CMS built on Elixir, Phoenix LiveView and Ash. Your pages, layouts and components live in the database and compile into real LiveView modules at runtime
Publish a change. No redeploy, no restart. β¨
Hereβs the story π§΅π
#MyElixirStatus
I'll be working on a video next on the various new features in Phoenix and LiveView in 2025 and 2026 that I don't see as many people talking about: colocated hooks, the scopes pattern, the new layout pattern, etc.
New Youtube Video (in quite some time), this time more rambling about Mise and Chezmoi.

the reason moby-dick remains such a vital piece of human art is that it addresses what is probably one of humanity's greatest collective atrocities, the genocide of the whales, with an ambivalence it cannot itself fully articulate. melville is distraught, but he can't explain why
This is what happens when VC runs and owns everything, hyper capitalism requires all things grow exponentially forever. They looked at the facts and saw that arc was mostly used by tech ppl, who are a subset of the population rather than the entire planet.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet todayβs security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
Β· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
Β· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
Β· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
Β· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Recently attended an in-person handheld game console hackathon. I wrote a raycaster by hand. Someone wearing a βI β€οΈ slopβ tshirt saw mine and said βoh I wrote a ray caster too!β. They showed me. It was a ray *tracer* and claude did all the work. The person didnβt know basic graphics terms. They couldnβt answer basic questions about how it worked, could only talk about their prompting harness. Sad how AI is ruining the craft and community for people that actually like to program and have spent their lives getting good at it.
