🏡 How would Prop A affect SSAISD homeowners 65+? Under Texas law, homeowners with an approved Over-65 Homestead Exemption have their school district property taxes frozen. Prop A would not increase taxes above that amount unless major improvements are made to the home.

How old are SSAISD HVAC systems? The district currently has 128 HVAC units that are more than 20 years old. The expected useful life is approximately 15 years. Proposition A includes funding for upgrades and replacement of HVAC systems.
