A friend recently asked my opinion on what I think the Web3 gaming industry needs.. and I thought.. Besides top quality games, we need better tooling. the problem isn't always the game design itself, it's the tools supporting it. Some studios are still building economies with spreadsheets and raw instinct, then slapping blockchain on top and hoping it holds. While traditional game studios have decades of analytics tooling for player retention, spending curves, and balance testing. This is one thing I've seen Pixels on Ronin do consistently. They understand the importance of tooling and it's impact on their products. Probably why they are one of the few web3 games still alive. Not saying it has been perfect, but using the right tools help you plot your next move better The tools I actually want to see built: - Real time economy simulation software that lets designers stress-test token sinks and faucets before mainnet - Better wallet UX, onboarding flows that hide the blockchain entirely until a player actually wants to own something ( For games targeting a wider audience) - tooling for tracking player activity, spend, retention and the likes. Believe @stacked_app offers similar tooling I know most of it is boring infrastructure but that's the difference between a game economy that survives the first year and one that doesn't.
