I think we can all agree that Leo Messi is of a cosmic scale compared to the little golden ball right?
The whole Messi 555 discourse is an IQ test in itself. People really think Bartomeu and co., some of the greediest mfs in existence, would give that contract to Leo over FOUR years if he didn't generate revenue in the BILLIONS lol. Messi is El Dorado lads.
One of my pet peeves with regards to the 2026 WC is that Messi didn't grow his hair and beard out. Like yes, we know he is 39 but having that rugged look would have really impressed upon people that yes, he is bloody THIRTY NINE doing THIS.

I have a feeling that Messi finishes in the Top 3 tonight. But my question is, if he finishes outside of the Top 3 or worse Top 5, would it be a bigger hoax than 2018 or not?

Fact that folks are being more critical of Pedri than Rodri on the back of yesterday tells you all you need to know.
It’s baffling how he’s continually singled out.
Regardless of where Messi finishes in the Ballon d'Or tonight, I am intrigued to see the final voting list of all the journalists. My guess is that there is going to be a clear pattern to discern, and heavy correlations could be drawn with several aspects outside of football.
There is nothing to reconsider if you ask me. Us Messi FC, we are not admirers of Messi, we are admirers of genius in football. If a player displays it on the pitch, we appreciate and like them regardless of online discourse. That makes us different from a 'cult'.
I will forever remain grateful to Rijkaard. He had a world beater amongst his ranks, and yet he chose to be a father-like mentor and chained him responsibly, instead of giving him the keys on the pitch. Eventually when Pep unchained him, he found an uncontainable player 🫡
Nothing stings quite like a Clásico defeat lol. I have been post-depression binge watching comps of Messi, Busquets, and Pique for the past hour or so. Unironically the three exact profiles and players that we missed today.
Football is unforgiving. NEVER take it for granted when you have a great generation of players, instead reinforce them with even more great players all over the pitch. Laporta and co. care more about flashy transfers to reinforce their own stature, rather than the former.
Sorry for beating a dead horse, and I absolutely take no pleasure in doing so against the fanbase of the club I love; But please cultivate some humility and leave Pep's Barca and the Messi era untouched. They were abnormal, not something that can be repeated. Thanks. 👍
Some culers got too big for their boots and started challenging Leo Messi and his Barca to take on the current Barca right? Did you see the spaces in behind today? Let alone Prime Messi and 2011 Barca, a 32 y/o Messi gets atleast 5 assists with Koeman's Barca lol.
Lamine Yamal (2024-26) 💔🕊️. Another great player overcome by G/A numbers. Puts into perspective how freakish Leo Messi was for maintaining the world's best gameplay and numbers simultaneously for nearly two decades eh?
All this talk about Kane, Yamal, Mbappe while Don Andrés is on his way to get the most hideous trim for the ceremony ✌️#AntonelaSaveUs
For Inter Miami to stand a remote chance in the playoffs, both Messi and Segovia have to be healthy. They are literally the only two that progress the ball forward on this team. De Paul is still suffering from the PTSD Diego Simeone gave him.
As frustrated as I am with the result, I am atleast consoled by the fact that Messi got to rest a little bit. He looked fresh and sharp as well when he came on despite his schedule, which is a positive sign going forward. #cope
People may or may not share the vision with me here, but Telasco Segovia is a player who belongs at the top top clubs in Europe; Not some mid-table club, the very top ones.
