If Bitcoin does end up needing to hard fork, it shouldn't be wasted.

If generally skeptical technologists are panicking I can only imagine what is happening at BlackRock right now.
While I think panicking early is good.. influence from there is a potentially significant downside.
May have to stop being a bitcoin core hater and support those in the arena.

ASICs need reward/hash > their cost. Zcash got theirs asics in like 15 months.
You need inference costs to remain higher than the delta between efficiency of ASIC vs GPU.
And that’s the rosy case; we can discuss the reality that cheap GPUs in shit data center which can’t serve inference are your likely miners in your Fortessa stage but I’m not sure you want to go there. Where power is cheap, connectivity is poor.
