Did $SHIB just lose 2,500 holders?
According to data from @etherscan, between October 27th and 28th, the number of non-empty @Shibtoken wallet addresses on @Ethereum dipped by 2,470 holders.
Exactly what was behind the decrease is not clear. However, promisingly, the number of holders has been steadily growing ever since.
With a total of 1,696,148, it feels inevitable that the SHIB Army will reach the 1.7M total in the coming weeks and months...

CZ Says He Never Owned a Shiba Inu...
Earlier today, @cz_binance debunked a viral story about owning a Shiba Inu named Riki while in Tokyo.
The story, which indirectly came from the Japanese edition of his book, Freedom of Money, prompted links to the memecoin @ShibainuCoin.
CZ's reaction was clear: he doesn't own any Shiba Inu, has never owned one, and knows nothing about Riki. He also said there is so much misinformation that it can't be corrected.
His only known dog is a Belgian Malinois called Broccoli, which inspired a new set of meme coins in 2025.
Crypto Twitter never runs out of tales for meme coins.

The $2.8B Binance hacker didn't use Zcash.
@CryptoChrisG asked the obvious: "Why didn't the hacker use Zcash or Monero?" 168K people stopped scrolling to ask it.
Because shielded Zcash isn't a mixer. It's a wallet. You don't dump $2.8B into a tool designed to launder, because it isn't designed to launder. You use it the way everyone else should. Hold normally. Spend normally. Nobody sees you.

THE BINANCE HACKER GOT ADDRESS-POISONED 36 SECONDS AFTER HIS FIRST GAS. AND 3 OF HIS 5 "ROUND BLOCKS" ARE FAKE
i went through the drain wallet (0x5227…2f8c) in tracehound. the poisoners were on him before his money was.
1/ THE FIRST MINUTE
20:29:11 UTC: 0.5 ETH of gas to a fresh wallet, 0x9749…c762.
20:29:47: a lookalike, 0x9749f7…c762, sends that wallet dust.
20:30:11: the 500,000,000 USDT lands.
the trap was set 24 seconds before the money arrived.
2/ THE SCALE
38 lookalikes of his wallets.
17 of his wallets targeted. ethereum, arbitrum, polygon.
dust, zero-value transfers, fake ETH, transfers planted "in his name".
3/ THE "ROUND BLOCKS"
his history shows USDT going out in 500M, 200M, 200M, 500M, 200M.
only two are Tether (0xdac1…1ec7):
20:30:11 · 500M → 0x9749…c762
20:33:23 · 200M → 0x0ddf…697e
the other three are a token called "Tether USD" at 0x11d0…1cac:
04:39:35 · "200M" → 0x0ddb…697e
04:43:35 · "500M" → 0x9745…c762
05:10:11 · "200M" → 0x0ddb…697e
same first characters, same last characters as his real wallets. fake token, fake transfers, written into his history so he copies the wrong address.
4/ WHAT'S REAL
real USDT out of the drain wallet: 700M, not 1.6B.
1.175B USDT is still in it, frozen by Tether.
takeaway:
address poisoning isn't aimed at noobs. it's aimed at anyone who copies from their own history.
it found the biggest thief in crypto in 36 seconds.
it will find you too. check the middle of the address, not just the start and the end.
