A little while ago, X reminded me I’ve been running this account for 5 years..
It all started with just posting interesting stats. Then I got into making football content around them: a stats advent calendar, a digital map of every stadium RFS has played at, and plenty of other stuff I don’t even remember anymore :)
After that came the idea for RFS.team, one place for all the club’s stats: every player, every match, every competition. Since then the site has gone through a lot of updates, with new features, new sections, and advanced stats on top of the standard ones (xG, xA and all that).
Then this year, I was buying a ticket for a game, kept missing the tiny dot for my seat on the zoomed-in map, and thought it would be nice to make the whole thing easier. That’s when the first version of tickets.rfs.team came out. The feedback from everyone who used it was incredibly positive, so I decided to build an even better version with new features for next season.
But then X reminded me about the anniversary, so instead of waiting until spring 2027, I decided to release a limited beta of the new ticket platform right before the last home game of the season. Just a small bonus, and a good excuse to celebrate :)
🏟 The site now has a shorter, nicer address: RFS.tickets. It also has a desktop version now, and.. there’s a 3D view from every single seat in the stadium! Pick a seat and see exactly what your view will be. Or just walk around the 3D stadium and find the view you like best.
🎟 And for anyone coming to a game for the first time, I added a feature that picks seats for you. Just tell it how many tickets you need and what type (adult or kids), and it’ll find the best seats available.
By next season, I’m hoping to add a lot more features to make things better for fans and bring even more people to the stands :) I love how @RFSDaily turns every game into a family celebration, and I’d like more people to be part of it 💙
Stefan Panić didn't just score yesterday's winner, it was also his 2nd best performance of the season, and, just as importantly, it earned him two personal badges on RFS.team!
🚀 First, “Bounce Back” (one of the most interesting badges). After a 7.30 vs Liepāja, below his average, he came back with an 8.20 in Daugavpils - a full 0.74 above his pre-match average of 7.46.
⚡️ And with a 7.56 average over his last 5 games, he's in the club's top 10%, which got him the “In Form” badge as well!
One more thing: Stefan is now the 4th player in @RFSDaily history to pass the 200-game mark. Incredible. Keep it up, Pana! 💪
Why bother with November at all? Stick the Cup final on the winter training schedule. Turkey’s lovely that time of year, or so I hear..
Iesniegums
par 2026. gada Latvijas kausa fināla norises datumu
Biedrība “FC RFS” (turpmāk - FC RFS) lūdz Latvijas Futbola federācijas (turpmāk - LFF) Sacensību organizācijas komiteju pārskatīt lēmumu noteikt 2026. gada Latvijas kausa fināla starp FK “Auda” un Riga FC norisi 2026. gada 20. novembrī, un izvērtēt minētā lēmuma pieņemšanas pamatojumu un atbilstību vienlīdzīgas attieksmes, konsekventas sacensību organizēšanas un sacensību integritātes prasībām.
FC RFS iebildumi attiecas uz konkrētā datuma izvēles pamatojumu, atkāpšanos no iepriekš publiski norādītā fināla norises perioda un šā lēmuma iespējamo ietekmi uz FC RFS interesēm.
Sadly, that's the end of the European road for RFS this year, out after just 6 matches. Much earlier than we've gotten used to (2 group-stage runs and a play-off round exit in the last 4 years), but yesterday's second half showed that when push comes to shove, this team can show real character and take the game to a serious opponent from a stronger league. A bit more luck in the first leg, a bit more focus early in the second - and it could've been a different story. But that's football..
🔥 Still, last night was a milestone night for three people at @RFSDaily
First, the team took the field under Viktors Morozs for the 300th time! Under Viktors: 204 wins, 3 league titles, 2 Latvian Cups and a Supercup, plus two European autumns (and a bit of winter too - that January night against Ajax!😍). It feels like only yesterday he was stepping in on short notice to replace Valdas - and now he's got numbers like these to his name!
Speaking of Valdas, in the next two weeks, he could make it to the Champions League proper for the first time ever, and I'm always rooting for him personally🥹 He's the guy whose RFS press conferences I tried never to miss, and the one who first got me into football analytics and advanced stats. Really happy he's finally found the right club and that things are working out!
⚽️ Now for the players! Fittingly, both milestone men marked the occasion on the scoresheet: Žiga Lipušček scored in his 250th match for RFS, and the assist came from Dmitrijs Zelenkovs, playing his 150th in an RFS shirt. Two hugely important players in RFS history - and I hope they'll help the club clinch a spot in next season's Champions League qualifying :)
The biggest wins and the biggest numbers are still ahead! Here's one: just 2 more goals until goal № 900 in RFS history. This. Is. Just. Incredible!
📊 Match 150 for Ikaunieks (and he scored in it!), Ndjiki ending his 21-month wait for a goal in the blue shirt (you surely remember the Cup final against Auda 4:2😍). All these post-match facts and more are now live on RFS.team!
As always, the app gets regular updates - better UI/UX and small improvements, most of them unannounced. So come explore @RFSDaily history!
💯 Herdi Prenga made his 100th appearance for @RFSDaily today, becoming the 16th player to reach that mark!
💙 He joined the club three years ago and has since scored 7 goals, provided 2 assists, and won two Latvian league titles (2023, 2024), the Latvian Cup (2024), and the Super Cup (2025).
And the next player to hit 100 is already close, Isma has 98 appearances! 👀
The match against Daugavpils is already underway, but you can still get a ticket - whether you missed kickoff or just decide to head to the stadium mid-match. No restrictions!
🎟️ tickets.rfs.team
P.S. While I was writing this tweet, I noticed that two more tickets were sold. So someone has already made use of this feature, wow!
Last week brought more than just the major Player Ratings update - a few important UI improvements went live too!
📊 Advanced Stats has been completely rebuilt. Instead of only showing rankings, it now lets you see where @RFSDaily stands among all Virslīga clubs for each metric directly on the x-axis - before you even open the full rankings. And even if you support another team, it’s definitely worth exploring, there’s a lot of interesting stuff in there!
🏆 The Euro Simulator has also been updated - both the main version on RFS.team and the Baltic version at eu.rfs.team. The results of both draws have been added, you can now view each opponent’s path, and the remaining two qualifying rounds now show a seed/unseed label.
👥 The Player Comparison section also got a UX update: selecting players is smoother, and the comparison metrics are clearer and more readable.
🎟 tickets.rfs.team has been refreshed as well. The ticket-selection cards are now cleaner and easier to use. As a small bonus, there are a few fun details when you choose a child ticket or add multiple tickets :)
Still building! 💙
The Player Ratings section has been updated! There’s now more than just the overall season rating. I’ve added two new tabs:
🔥 Hot: players with the highest average rating over the last 5 matches.
📈 Stock Up: players who have improved the most, comparing their average rating from the last 3 matches to the 3 matches before that.
Players now also earn badges not only for their overall performance across their entire @RFSDaily career (you can see those on their personal profiles), but also for their current-season form.
There are now 4 types of season badges in this section:
⚡ In Form - the player is in the team’s top 15% by average rating over the last 5 matches.
✅ Stock Up - the player’s average rating over the last 3 matches is at least 0.5 higher than it was over the previous 3 matches.
🚀 Bounce Back - the player bounced back after a dip: his rating was below his average in the previous match, then improved by at least 0.5 in the latest match and went back above his average level.
❤️🔥 Hot Streak - the player’s rating has gone up for at least 3 matches in a row.
I also improved the chart design and added a few visual updates. It’s already live on RFS.team, just go to “2026 Player Ratings”.
⚡ Tickets for @RFSDaily first European match of the season against @Glentoran went on sale just a couple of hours ago, and they’re already going fast!
🎟️ Don’t wait too long if you want the best seats 🏃♂️➡️ tickets.rfs.team
The match card is in Conference League colors, as it should be :)

THIS GUY is going to be in goal for @RFSDaily 🥹
Welcome, Rihards!
I went through Dukla’s highlights and picked out some of his best saves 🔥
✍️ Esam parakstījuši līgumu ar visiem labi pazīstamo vārtsargu Rihardu Matrevicu, kurš mums par transfēra maksu pievienojies no Čehijas kluba Prāgas "Dukla". Esi sveicināts LNK Sporta Parkā! 💙fkrfs.lv/rfs-turpmak-parstav…

🇫🇮Finland, 🏴Wales, 🇮🇪Ireland, or 🇮🇸Iceland: the most likely opponents for @RFSDaily
That’s the conclusion I came to after going through the full list of teams in the first qualifying round and looking at how UEFA has built draw groups in previous years.
For those new to this: UEFA doesn’t run a completely open draw. Before the draw, clubs are split into smaller groups. There’s no fully transparent formula behind it, but regional logic is usually part of the process. That’s why, for example, a club from San Marino is usually less likely to be drawn against RFS than a club from Northern Europe.
This year, though, all three Baltic clubs are seeded, which means RFS almost certainly won’t draw Lithuania’s Hegelmann or Estonia’s Kalju. And with Linfield from Northern Ireland and Víkingur from the Faroe Islands also seeded, Glentoran and NSÍ Runavík are unlikely opponents as well.
So the most likely Nordic-Baltic group could look something like this:
≫ Seeded:
RFS (€9.75m)
Žalgiris
Linfield
Levadia
Víkingur
≫ Unseeded:
🇫🇮 Ilves Tampere (€4.25m)
🇫🇮 Inter Turku (€3.83m)
🇮🇸 Stjarnan (€2.86m)
🇮🇪 Bohemians (€3.58m)
🏴 A Welsh side: Connah’s Quay (€1.38m), Penybont (€1.18m), or Caernarfon Town (€1.15m)
Of course, UEFA sometimes moves one or two northern teams into other groups for balance, and that could happen again this time. But in this case, this group looks very balanced: there are no direct association conflicts. RFS avoids Liepāja, Žalgiris avoids Hegelmann, Levadia avoids Kalju, Linfield avoids Glentoran, and Víkingur avoids NSÍ.
🗓 The first-round draw is coming up on June 16, just 10 days away! The draw itself usually takes place around midday, while the groups are typically announced a few hours earlier, usually in the morning.
Built for RFS, expanded to the Baltics! The Eurocups simulator now includes not only every club in Latvia, but also teams from Lithuania and Estonia! 🇱🇻🇱🇹🇪🇪
➡️ Our Baltic friends, try it out with your favorite club here: eu.rfs.team
Exactly two weeks until the June 16 draw! That’s the day @RFSDaily finds out its first opponent in the upcoming European campaign.
To mark the occasion, I’ve launched the Euro Simulator on RFS.team. You can use it to simulate possible draw outcomes: who RFS might face in the first round and beyond, how each matchup could play out, and what the overall chances are of making it through each round.
📊 You can also run up to 100,000 simulations at once to get a bigger-picture look at the odds.
⚽️ Try it out and see who RFS could be playing this summer!
ℹ️ Team lists for each round and the qualification format are based on data from @kassiesa. Team strength ratings are based on @EuroClubIndex data.
