๐ TNF INSIDER: PANTHERS @ PACKERS
Carolina projects for more offensive plays. Green Bay has the more concentrated target outlook. Thatโs where this matchup gets interesting.
๐ Statyx projections:
๐พ Panthers: 65.4 plays, 63.7% pass rate. Tetairoa McMillan leads the outlook with 9.0 projected targets and a 53% chance to lead the team.
๐ง Packers: 60.4 plays, 64.5% pass rate. Matthew Golden projects for 10.1 targets, with a 52% chance to lead Green Bay.
The coaching profiles are nearly identical: both teams project to pass above situational expectation, with a +1.8 percentage-point coaching effect for each.
One key difference: Green Bayโs top two options account for 51% of projected targets, compared with 46% for Carolina. And game script matters for Josh Jacobs, whose receiving projection drops by 1.8 targets versus a neutral script.
The key question: Can Carolina turn its projected play-volume edge into production, or will Green Bayโs concentrated target distribution make the difference?

Onyeka Okongwu O1.5 3s (+105 b365)
Looking for the ideal positive 3PT regression spot for Onyeka Okongwu tonight vs Heat. With Giannis and Adebayo anchoring the interior and packing the paint, theyโll leave Okongwu wide open with clean Catch & Shoot and Pick & Pop looks.
Expecting 4โ8 3PA today, and I'm adding the ladder at +320 as well. ๐๐ฏ
Okongwu doesnโt need a huge scoring night for this to hit. Just needs his usual minutes and a few extra looks from deep.

Losing Anthony Edwards isn't a setback. It's a nightmare for Minnesota.
33.3 PPG. Gone.
That's not a scoring gap you just plug with another player.
In 17 games without Ant, Hyland's scoring jumps 6.0 PPG, Dosunmu's 5.5 and McDaniels' 4.6.
The entire rotation has to compensate.
Minnesota can spread the shots around all it wants. That doesn't mean it can replace what Ant does.
Golden State has a massive opportunity here.

I think Carolina makes Watson work a lot harder than people reading โzone defenseโ into a big night would expect.
His Cover 3 numbers are excellent: 244 yards on 20 targets. Thatโs 12.2 yards every time Green Bay throws his way against that coverage.
But Carolina allows just 5.17 yards per target in Cover 3, third-toughest in the NFL. And itโs their most-used shell, accounting for 48% of charted coverage snaps. This matchup puts something Watson has done well directly against something Carolina has defended well.
My lean: Carolina pulls his efficiency down Thursday. Green Bay may need more targets to get the production those season averages suggest.
Packers fans, are you backing Watson to break this coverage, or does Love need to find his yards elsewhere?
Reed saw everybody at 50% and decided he wasnโt doing that ๐คฃ

Keldon Johnson 10+ points & 5+ rebounds ๐
SACโs paint defense has been a fairly welcoming establishment. Keldon happens to do most of his business there.
About 80% of his shots this season come at the rim or in the paint (small sample but thats his usual profile). SAC ranks 30th in FG% allowed at the rim and 28th in the surrounding paint. This matchup doesnโt require him to reinvent his shot diet.
I filtered his games since last season for 20+ minutes against defenses ranked 17thโ30th inside 10 feet on attached images.
Thereโs also room for better finishing: heโs made just 14.3% of his non rim paint shots this season. SAC allowing 54.4% in that area gives those same attempts a friendlier setting.
The huge spread could help a bench player here. If SAS gets comfortable, extra second unit minutes would give him more chances at both legs. Garbage time still counts on the slip.

Willis hit a season-high 66.7% against the Jetsโjust his second game over 60%.
He ranks 31/32 in completion rate (57.6%), per @statyxio.
Rush with discipline. Force throws. Make him play your game.
