AVOID ENERGY PRICE CAP SWITCH TO A FIXED TARRIF NOW! ESCAPE THE GAP. CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER OR @MartinSLewis @MoneySavingExp I SWITCHED TO A FIXED TARRIF WITH @ecotricity and in july 2024 /July 2025 saved £1.2k 2025-26 Im in credit £800!! @andyburnham @_Government_UK LISTEN TO @DaleVince Green energy entrepreneur and Labour donor Dale Vince has argued that the term "Net Zero" should be dropped because it has become politically toxic and is perceived as benefiting the wealthy rather than struggling households. Key Points of Vince's Proposal Ditch the Term: Vince stated that defending "net zero" is counterproductive and the public has been lost in the terminology. Instead, the focus should shift to building a "green economy" centered on jobs, growth, and tangible financial benefits. Criticism of Spending: He criticized Energy Secretary Ed Miliband and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) for wasting billions of pounds on unproven or poorly targeted projects, such as carbon capture and storage and heat pump subsidies. Abolish DESNZ: Vince proposed breaking up DESNZ, returning energy policy to the Department for Business, and shifting green economy responsibilities to the Chancellor to make more pragmatic, business-oriented decisions. Pragmatic Approach: While maintaining that low-carbon goals and addressing climate change are urgent, he argues that policies should make the green choice the natural economic choice for consumers rather than relying on heavy subsidies or arbitrary targets that alienate the public. End Heat Pump Handouts: He criticized spending billions on heat pump installation grants. He stated that taxpayers should not subsidize expensive heating systems for households that can already afford them. Reallocate Funds to Defence: Vince famously suggested keeping existing gas boilers and redirecting billions from heat pump and carbon capture budgets toward the UK's military needs. Scrap DESNZ: He called for breaking up the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, returning energy policy to the business department and economic strategy to the Treasury. Green energy entrepreneur Dale Vince is a prominent member of @PatMillsUK UK, a campaign group demanding a 2% annual wealth tax on net fortunes exceeding £10 million. The Core CampaignThe Proposal: The group advocates for a 2% levy on individuals with assets above £10 million. The Goal: Proponents state the tax would affect fewer than 20,000 people and raise roughly £24 billion a year to fund public services and reduce inequality .Additional Reforms: The group also calls for aligning capital gains tax rates with standard income tax rates. @DaleVince Stance Personal View: Vince states that he is one of the top taxpayers in Britain, but he still believes that wealthy individuals like him should pay more. Fairness: He argues that the current tax system creates and worsens the gap between people in poverty and the super-rich. Action: Vince has helped fund bus tours, media campaigns, and open letters alongside more than 100 other wealthy Britons urging the government to raise their taxes.

Yesterday in Plymouth, whilst Farage was publicly attacking me, I was facing something far greater. Lucy, my partner of seven years and the mother of my three children, had taken her own life. Lucy had been struggling with her mental health since the summer. She stood by me through every change I made. When we met, after I had served three years in prison, she didn't judge me. She saw who I was trying to become. Whilst Farage and other Reform MPs had been criticising and condemning me none of them chose to mention that I have spent the last eight years working against the extremism I once embraced. We had seven wonderful years together. But the press attention was hard on her: the knocks at the door, the comments, the remarks from figures in and around Reform UK, including Raheem Kassam, Nigel Farage and Robert Jenrick. It weighed heavily on her that her life was being shaped by mistakes I made a decade ago. Lucy was the love of my life and my soulmate. She is irreplaceable. Our boys will grow up knowing how much their mother loved them, and their care now rests with me.

dalevince.com/news/energy-cr… The answer is something we already use very successfully for green energy: Contracts for Difference, or CfDs Energy is the economy. @andyburnham

📉 1. The Tory Legacy: A 70-Year High Tax Burden Despite all their talk about cutting taxes, independent data from the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) confirms that under the last Conservative government, the UK tax burden reached its highest level in 70 years.

What was proposed at Labour Conference on 28 September is a consultation - over 200,000 responses received. Standard route for Indefinite Leave to Remain would move from 5 years to 10 years, with the ability to reduce that time based on contributions - continuous work

Trump did this. The disgusting paedophile traitor.
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children. I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

We caught the moment Restore activist @lewisrholmes was "scalded by boiling liquid" yesterday while being confronted about his relationship with neo-Nazi Patrick McGinnis. As you can see, he spilt the coffee on his hand while putting it in a bin. He refused to answer our question

DO THE MATHS The Probation services have had to release 38,000 prisoners from July 2024 due to 97% over crowding left by Tories. 262 prisoners were released in error in the 12 months from March 2024 to March 2025 which is 0.69% The Probation Service released 10,000 from October 2023 to July 2024.115 released in error in 9 months which is 1.15% Obviously there will be more mistakes %wise because more were released. However the % lost is higher under Tory Government as they released a lot less prisoners. The Government needs to release figures in the months from July 2024 to July 2025 for balance. The new early release scheme was introduced, with the Justice Secretary stating that "low thousands" would be released in that month. September 2024 onwards: The scheme has released an additional 38,042 prisoners between September 2024 and June 2025. The Tories could have released more but dumped the problem on Labour, like NHS,Police and all the other Public services. The Tories cut NI deliberately, left a debt of 2.10 T,and high borrowing costs because Liz Truss crashed the economy and inflation reaching 11.1 % They blamed Covid and Putin. The forgot Brexit and Liz Truss and wasting 130 billion on waste and dodgy PPE contracts and ASYLUM seekers Hotel contracts to Tory Donors and Billions to the Fossil Fuel companies who are their Donors. The Tories under invested in Renewable energy and UK had to Import Gas from Europe.

James English has been found guilty of domestic abuse following a 12-day trial after repeatedly assaulting his pregnant ex-partner and verbally abusing her, calling her a “fat slag” and a “little bitch.” He grabbed her by the neck while she was pregnant, squeezed it and pushed her against a door. On another occasion, he pressed his thumbs into her eyebrows while she was pregnant. He also kicked her out of bed so hard that she hit a wardrobe after refusing to cuddle him. He slapped her and pulled her hair during the abuse. He will be sentenced next month.
