How is this not a hate crime? How can this excuse of a human get away with saying this about a murdered elderly woman! She/he/they/shim should be sacked from Aberdeen University! Imagine your child being educated by this! @aberdeenuni
Disgusting.
The University of Aberdeen says it is “looking into” comments made by employee Heather Herbert after she publicly celebrated the death of former MP Ann Widdecombe.
Responding to the announcement, Herbert wrote:
“Some good news for once. I hope it was an extremely painful death.”
She then added:
“I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony.”
A local report says Herbert offered no apology when questioned, while the university confirmed it was examining the matter.
You can disagree with every political position Ann Widdecombe ever held. You can criticise her record, her beliefs and her words. But publicly fantasising about a 78-year-old woman being restrained and screaming in agony is not political criticism. It is grotesque.
The University of Aberdeen now needs to decide whether this conduct meets the standards it expects from somebody publicly identified as one of its employees.
And “looking into it” cannot simply become the usual holding statement until the outrage disappears.

What the fck is wrong with people! All these people posting horrendous messages about #AnnWiddicombe ... shame on all of you. You are meant to be the left and the love all bunch! True colours showing now. VILE!. Have some dignity, and take a look at yourselves.
Putting this here so I can watch it later....its the film that we aren't meant to watch...i wonder why?
I know FA about football, but been addicted to the videos of the @TartanArmyGroup in Boston, and in a world full of stabbings and worse it has lifted my mental health. Regardless of tonight's out come the Scots have won the World cup and done more for international relations. GOOD LUCK LADS.
