Incredible story. Any “ask a vet” telemedicine chat with a veterinarian is not allowed to give you a real diagnosis like this, unless they have examined your dog in person.
#GPT4 saved my dog's life.
After my dog got diagnosed with a tick-borne disease, the vet started her on the proper treatment, and despite a serious anemia, her condition seemed to be improving relatively well.
After a few days however, things took a turn for the worse 1/

Had writers block so I delegated to ChatGPT to write for me. And you know what? The draft was so bad that it motivated me to write the real version by fixing everything ChatGPT got wrong. Got it done in 15 minutes.

I did some fun reporting last week in the Bay Area, checking out companies making meat and dairy products without animals. I ate some of the future of food. Here’s a thread with some of the cool stuff I got to try! 1

A lot of people think that plant-based milks are bad for the environment (e.g. use a lot of water).
They certainly aren’t perfect.
But no matter how you look at the data they are way better than dairy milk.
I’d love to see UX research on how people trust answers from ChatGPT vs answers from Google. I suspect that the act of having a conversation with a bot makes you naturally skeptical of ChatGPT answers and wanting to engage with/verify what you read. A healthy outcome if real!
Contrast that with published pages on Google results, which can read as having natural authority (even though unearned authority) and someone is more likely to accept as true, even if wildly false or biased.
Congrats to my friends at @MeliBioInc! Real honey made without bees is hitting the shelves
MeliBio is partnering up with Narayan Foods in Europe that will take our plant-based honey into 75,000 stores under Better Foodie brand, starting early 2023!
Thank you for joining us in creating a better world, for humans and for bees! 🐝🌱🍯

Shocking that our city government approved killer robots for @SFPD. "Have never" is not the same as "will never". What could go wrong?
Replying to @RafaelMandelman
These robots have been used by SFPD since 2010, and have never been used to deliver lethal force. There is only one instance on record of a law enforcement robot being used to kill someone, in 2016 when Dallas Police used a robot to kill a sniper who had shot five officers. 4/5
