Richard Childress loses a legendary driver in Dale Earnhardt and suspends No. 3 for a time. Now he's lost another in Kyle Busch and suspends No. 8. Simply hard to believe a single team owner should endure such tragic fate. #nascar

The passing of future Hall of Famer Kyle Busch at 41, and so quickly, is sad, tragic and in many ways, just unfathomable. Hard to comprehend. #nascar

Should be noted that over the years, AP's Bloys, Mike and Jenna became respected NASCAR journalists.

Agree that AP's restrictions on its motorsports coverage is yet another blow to fans, especially given that AP was a major force that brought NASCAR, Indy, Formula 1, etc., to readers across the country wno lived in smaller cities who didn't otherwise receive it.

I am sure many of you are aware of Rick Houston's decision to withdraw from his efforts to make a fully digitized library of all Scenes available online. He believes he has alienated many in control. I understand but in future, I will assist in this project in any way I can.

The new special Co-host on The Scene Vault Podcast this week is Jeffrey Baker, long time Penske guy. He's been around, knows stuff and what a storyteller! Don't miss this week's podcast and be prepared to laugh!

Wishing Mark Martin a Happy Birthday. He earned respect as a driver and even more as a diplomatic spokesman for NASCAR. #nascar

Given the latest legal circumstances and the revelation of his own inflammorty words - and, I daresay the resulting negative light upon NASCAR - Steve Phelps resignation was inevitable. #nascar

Not a good year for those of us who participate in, are involved, support, follow or simply enjoy NASCAR. Fervently hope 2026 will be much better. And Happy New Year to all.

Seen this before and results are the same : The unfortunate unreasonable comments on RC by NASCAR 's Phelps displays contempt, disregard for competitors that will intensify fan disapproval above what it is now. #nascar

I'll say this for longtime friend @markmartin. He's never been afraid to speak his mind. Knew that before he delivered his recent direct opinions. Years ago, we were in conversation and he said, "We got out of this sport just in time, didn't we?" #nascar

Understand how unusual circumstances and fate can affect any NASCAR race or championship effort. That aside - as well as anything else - I sympathize with Denny Hamlin. It was not due to a lack of effort. #nascar

If NASCAR makes changes to its championship format and returns to a system that eliminates playoffs, fine by me. Seems preferable to fans and competitors. If so, I trust that does away with stage racing. Could not get used to a format which actually stopped racing. #NASCAR

Hey, if NASCAR does away with playoffs, it seems it will follow the will of majority of fans. A return to how it was. No problem here, although it won't be perfect. But then, what is? #nascar

Wishing Richard Childress a very happy birthday. Remember chatting, interviewing and laughing with him during his years as an independent driver. And we remained friends in the many years thereafter. #nascar

This country has been one of disagreements since it was born. We thrive on it, our Constitution provides for it. But disagreement is never solved by murder. This is not only unacceptable, it is deplorable. We MUST find an answer. God knows, this is not America.

Simply put, Humpy Wheeler was the greatest promoter in racing. He knew how to attract and entertain fans, he knew how to inspire and reward competitors and he knew how to support the media. CMS and NASCAR - and all of us - benefitted from his talent. #nascar

Understand the objection to current NASCAR playoff system and return to season based on consistency, as was in past. But then, Elliott won 11 races in '85 and lost title & Kenseth won 1 in' 03 and won title. Both raised complaints. Only suggest nothing is perfect. #nascar

Bravo to Bubba Wallace and Katherine Legge. Score one for an-oft maligned minority - and to suggest NASCAR had any role is laughable.
