i don’t agree with the homo/transphobic replies at all. mali yun. but the point still stands: there is a culture among gay ppl that normalizes insulting women and ultimately, misogyny. hindi LAHAT, but still a SIGNIFICANT number of ppl. calling this out is NOT homo/transphobia.
To my Filipino gay brothers and sisters: I think it’s time we call this discourse what it has become. Homo/trans phobia. I’ve watched it unfold, engaged with it, and experienced the attacks myself. The evidence is in the replies. You can trace how the arguments changed. (1/25)

The world is so cruel to women...even in death she is being scrutinized & she wasn't even the main one flying like...
I believe the female pilot involved in the tragic private plane crash in Palm Beach County today is Nathalia Filgueiras, of Florida. Nathalia Filgueiras did a news interview about getting her pilot's license while still in high school in 2023. In a March 2026 post, Nathalia posted about flying a LearJet 60, the type of plane that crashed today. Her sister, Giulia, also seemingly commented on a TikTok post about the crash saying "My sister 💔" and her Instagram is following Nathalia's "itsnatflig" account. Her partner, "J" (as seen in her IG bio) is likely the "Jack" she cries out to in the chilling audio. It looks like she flies with him routinely, according to her former social media posts. Jack is also heard reciting the Lord's prayer in the moments before the crash. May they rest in peace.

A plane crashes in Florida, lives are lost, and within HOURS the blue-checkmark crowd is blaming a female pilot and screaming “DEI.” Here's the problem: They don't understand how a two-pilot cockpit works. As a pilot, I'm disgusted. Watch this before you embarrass yourself.

Hate how they're so misogynistic against women. Making fun of them and passing it as a joke 😀

there is no hope for filipino women wdym its also impossible to call out the misogyny from a lot of filipino gay men without being accused of homophobia ... have you not seen how they talk about the girlfriends of the men theyre attracted to? or fat women? or even queer women?

mind you this discourse started because thousands of gay men are calling a filipino woman ugly after being hardlaunch by their favorite male influencer now men are using this discourse as an excuse to be more misogynistic..... women will never be free
Call me misogynistic but gay men are far better people than straight cis women will ever be

Not all gay men!! Because some of the are actually so sweet and see the plight women have been experiencing since time immemorial and are actually empathetic.

this clip from a few years ago is very relevant. i hope more gay men will come to realise solidarity has to go both ways, and i’m really grateful to dylan for speaking out about this.

Women: grabe hate comments ng mga bakla dun gf ni chompz. Gay men are still men nga naman. Rodina: *completely ignores the horrific comments the woman gets* BAKIT, sinasabi ba ng mga bading, “your rights should be taken?!” Mga homophobic kayo!!
Because it is homophobia. Hinahanay niyo mga bading sa biggest predator/oppressor/aggressor nila and equating these observed misogynistic behaviors all as the same while generalizing the whole community. Wag niyo sabihing same ito ng “not all men” dahil hindi talaga. Next
