it's such a privilege to have anyone share a piece of their life with you, no matter how big or small; whether it's a vulnerable or familiar circumstance, whether it's from a stranger or someone you love, whether it's in passing or intentional.
My unpopular opinion is that the “justice system” thrives off of/depends heavily on continually re-traumatizing victims, while encouraging lighter sentencing to discourage further reported cases.
Because they’re seen as impossibly hard to prove & therefore a drain on the system
I know your mom had cease to hold you in a warm loving embrace and having you was probably her poorest decision on record. Levels of her dodging any and all appropriate parenting accountability, resulting in the well rounded very normal human being you are today. Fascinating.
