Here’s the thing, from what I know, this fandom has more evidence than a crime scenes investigation. Remove an account? Everything you thought you got rid of will be reposted an infinite amount of times. Why bother trying, that’s the real question because A) you already know this and B) it only serves to prove our point. So why do it?
I know I am a very small account and very new to this fandom, but, maybe this tweet will reach some of you. In light of everything that is going on. I have some thoughts about AFHF this year. Cooperstown NY is a very interesting choice. I am super happy about it on the one hand because it’s within driving distance to me! But, buuuutttt I can’t help but feel a sort of way about the location (small in comparison to past venues and not easy to get to for most). The discord. The seemingly out of character tweets and all the PR nonsense. Is it that he is breaking through some glass ceiling in the music industry? Trying to become more main stream? Looking for younger fans to increase his reach? I get it, he is an incredible artist and deserves the world! For not actually knowing him, I feel like I know him…at least a little. And THAT is what makes him different, relatable, likable. His lyrics play like a movie running through my mind. His voice is angelic and so different. He is honest, excruciatingly so in his music. He seems to hold his fans in high regard, or at least some of the fans. The current state of the fandom makes me question what the vibe in the crowd will be like. It makes me forlorn for a time I have never experienced. Be it the 1D days or early LT solo career.
This is my first Louis experience. I am excited, but, that excitement is tempered by the unknown. There is so much hate in the US currently, and in the world really, that I worry it will spill over to the festival given the PR BS that has overtaken social media and the fandom. It all just feels a little tarnished and that makes me sad.
A truly heterosexual man would not work so hard to appear het because he would simply just be straight. It would not matter. Furthermore, if someone keeps their personal life private, it will remain so. Sudden bursts on SM are a calculated move… a PR move for example .
When someone goes above and beyond to flip your world on it’s axis, it is to confuse, to create fear and doubt and to remove power from you. Don’t let them.
