Longer schedule includes fewer missed classes, longer recovery time, more time to develop chemistry and quality. From a team perspective I don't see a downside What are the issues behind extending the season?
The schools that don’t sponsor men’s soccer need to worry about who and what they support, not men’s soccer. Put the student-athletes first.

only viable option for Erik. Shame he had that long term illness, guy had promise
Per source, Erik Palmer-Brown is likely making a move this January from Panathinaikos. The likely destination appears to be MLS, with several clubs interested in making him a TAM signing (max). The 29-year-old has made four appearances with the #USMNT.

Man, instead of bringing race into the equation, EJ could have emphasized that players like Nevada need to have a coach who has experienced the issues he's experienced being the best in your youth program. Someone who has made it to the top level of the sport and can help him improve.... Which is why I created EJE7 to encourage creativity and further player development..... I feel for his argument that it's a rich white suburban sport... or at least it was in the past during his youth. SAYING THAT, there's an argument that basketball and football were the dominant sports of preference for PoCs in the past. My team in the 90s was quite diverse (anecdotal I know)
EDDIE JOHNSON OFFERS TO TRAIN 3-YEAR-OLD NEVADA 🇺🇸⚽️ The former USMNT striker has offered to train Nevada Pierre at his EJE7 Soccer Academy in Orlando following the viral controversy surrounding his family’s dispute with a Florida youth soccer league. Johnson also used his response to call for more opportunities and role models for children of color in American youth soccer: 🗣️ “Nevada deserves to be around someone that looks like him that can understand him.” He criticized what he described as “a rich suburban sport” controlled by “privileged rich entitled parents,” and said encouraging young players to express themselves was one of the reasons he created his academy: 🗣️ “We encourage freedom and creativity.” 🗣️ “We should be praising a three-year-old with his ability instead of tarnishing it.”

USSF bounced and now CONCACAF?? SUM still profitable with MLS and Mexico's rights, but they are losing a lot of clients
New: @Concacaf is not renewing its commercial sales agreement with @MLS's Soccer United Marketing when it expires at the end of 2026. This follows U.S. Soccer ending its commercial relationship with SUM at the end of 2022 to bring its rights in house.

Last I'll state on the i9/Nevada situation as I think everything is out: i9's perspective: The cops were called because of a dispute between an i9 director and Nevada's parents. According to the 911 call Nevada's mom was being rude, disruptive and following him around calling him names. According to the bodycam footage, the director emphasized that Nevada was really good and scoring a lot so he subbed out players including Nevada. He also mentioned he told the ref a few times to address Nevada pushing players. Parent's perspective: They paid $300 for game play only (no training) and their son was the best on the pitch, but the director kept subbing Nevada out. Both parents state that they (director, coaches, fans, etc...) got into a huddle to discuss her son. They were told that they'd be issued a refund and Nevada was no longer allowed to play in i9 My perspective: All parties are at fault, except for Nevada. Parents complaining about him being good is Lame. Director has to have thicker skin than what was displayed... Lame. Nevada's parents need to understand that at i9 equal playing time is encouraged and despite how good their son is he will be subbed off at times. Sucks for Nevada to be in this position... but he'll be making appearances on Ms. Rachel's show and will be participating Eddie Johnson's academy, so there at least appears to be an upside for the kid.

I’m going to correct this story because, OF COURSE, people are screaming “white supremacy” and “racism.” You can’t even get the story right. Parents did NOT call the police. An official did. Why? Because of a dispute involving PARENTS. The Winter Park Police Department released a statement: Police confirmed that nobody was arrested, forcibly removed, or issued a trespass warning. POLICE WERE NOT CALLED BY AN OPPOSING PARENT, ACCORDING TO THE OFFICIAL REPORT. They were contacted by an i9 Sports league official who reported a disturbance involving league officials and the child’s PARENTS. Local reporting identifies that official as Thomas Hayes, a director with i9 Sports. His race has not been verified. According to police, league officials wanted the family to leave and offered to refund their registration fees. When officers arrived, they were asked to communicate with the family to prevent the disagreement from escalating. The family says their son was excluded because he played too well. The league disputes that explanation.

POLICE CALLED AFTER DISPUTE AT 3-YEAR-OLD’S SOCCER GAME IN FLORIDA 😳 The family of 3-year-old Nevada says he was removed from an i9 Sports youth soccer league in Winter Park after complaints about him dominating games against older children. 🗣️ His father: “They really called the police on a 3-year-old because he had the ball too much.” Per police records: the league director called officers about a dispute involving Nevada’s parents and said the decision to remove him was over their behavior. The family maintains Nevada was being unfairly singled out for playing too well. Police described the family as cooperative and confirmed nobody was arrested, issued a trespass warning or forced to leave the park. 🎥 Nevadaney10/TT

no context to this video, so let's let GOOGLE decide!!!! Assuming my google search we in reference to this scenario.... kid was dominating the league, parents complained, Club called the cops to trespass and pay the family back the fees... NOW, assuming that's correct, this is just another example of why soccer can stagnate in this country. I know a kid who plays travel baseball and missed tryouts for rec+/travel, ultimately forcing him to play in Rec. Rules are out to stifle progress unfortunately. Take Google with a grain of salt, it might be a completely different scenario
They called the police on a little Black kid for being too good at soccer.

More context: apparently it was a black parent not wanting their child livestreamed to 3k people on tiktok Still seems a lame reason to call the cops. I dont know enough about what's considered public and private when playing at rec fields

How often has this happened? I don't recall but then again it may simply not been broadcasted loud enough
Head of Goalkeeping Jack Robinson has called a 12-player roster for a domestic goalkeeping camp from Oct. 27-30 at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center 🧤 📝 ussoc.cr/j7e

Camp Cupcake Returns!!! Ok, on a serious note, @BoomerRichey and I have been a proponent of turning this camp into an Olympic age window, which this very well will be. We've had people clap back about removing the opportunities of aged out (U23) MLS options that could springboard into the seniors and I get it, and we've relented to U25 😉
🚨✅ OFFICIAL: The USMNT’s last match of 2026 will be against Jamaica on December 13th at Inter Miami CF Stadium. 🇺🇸🇯🇲

"This isn't just a league, it's a pathway" Uhhhh oh @BoomerRichey Well it looks like they are going through with it starting in a couple months. Has USSF lacked on regulations of what consists of D.1? Is USL simply calling it D.1 within their P/R setup? I'm hoping nothing but the best for USL in this movement forward. Competition generates ingenuity and growth

I've had my gripes with Andrew before, but he's not making this a race argument. His point is the US infrastructure to aid in developing US athletes are failing at doing such. You can agree or disagree with his point, that's fine. Perhaps an argument could be made that scholarships, assuming they are federally funded, should go towards players stateside (ignoring citizenships status). According to the article the player breakdown between all the levels are nearing 50/50. I'm sorry but when Missouri State has 26 intl and 1 American with Scott Gallagher in your backyard then I find it hard to believe the "we scout locally first" argument. Missouri State #29 has 26 intl' players.... IU #9 has 5 intl'. I mean even Clemson #1 has 13 intl'. This sounds like Missouri State is happy to let agencies hook them up with intl' players rather than actually scouting.
Replying to @andrewcarleton7
Maybe because the soccer coaches here suck? And because other countries focus more on technique? It’s not a race thing, it’s a talent thing. Get over yourself. Half of the players on the USMNT weren’t even raised here so why does it matter

Face Of The USMNT? Jermaine Jones Spitting Fire? A lot of discussion occurring on X about the next "face of USMNT". Jermaine Jones chimes in with his take.
