Although Rasmale is three times the size of Hulhumale, the Minister believes it will be much easier to control and manage because the entire development will be managed by a single company.
According to him, the Gov would not need to monitor the behaviour of every individual. Instead, it could simply instruct the company on what is and is not permitted.

Not correct. Marriages between a Kaafir man and woman are recognised.
Ibn Qudamah said: The marriages of non-Muslims are valid, and they are allowed to remain in them if they embrace Islam or seek judgment from us, provided that the woman is someone whom it would be permissible to marry anew at that time. No consideration is given to the form or manner of their marriage contract, nor are the requirements of Muslim marriages applied to it, such as a guardian, witnesses, the wording of the offer and acceptance, and the like. There is no disagreement among Muslims concerning this.

I do agree with the point however that many of us seem upset at some haram, yet accept others. Like most people never complain about alcohol or pork or nudity at resorts, yet they have a probelem with gays. A muslim should have an issue with it all.
I think people have become desensitised to alot of it.
