โ€œThey killed my mother for being too old to be a sex slave. They killed all my brothers for refusing to convert to Islam. I was raped and tortured every day for 6 months. Thatโ€™s what life is like for non-Muslims in the Middle East.โ€ Where is UN Women?

Hello @Aberdeenshire your alarm on Balmedie Quarry offices has been sounding since the staff left on Friday at 5pm. It sounds, resets and sounds. I've tried calling @PoliceScotland @PSOSAbershire as per your website for out of hours but their hold is 30 minutes plus.

Britain formerly apologised in 1840. That was during the same period the Royal Navy had an entire squadron off Western Africa dedicated to capturing slave ships & freeing slaves. Also, intermittently off East Africa. Also, during the same period the Foreign Office was trying to lobby African Kingdoms to give up slavery - many often resistant, resulting in gun-boat diplomacy.
The reason Britain struggles with even a formal apology for transatlantic slavery is the legal implications. Admission strengthens the case for reparation claims. Britain paid several billions in compensation to the slave owners in its slave colonies. Its ex-slaves got nothing.

โ€œDown this road the soldiers came.โ€ Superb series, which gets better with age as one realises just how pivotal, how historic, were many of the now long-gone interviewees.

I'm not sure what posing directions Captain Console gave to Sergeant Baxter, PR Company, ATS, but it's the same look that my cat gives me when she doesn't like the food I've just put down for her. IWM (H 21204), Armando Console, WO Official Photographer, 10 July 1942.

Israeli airport security has saved the life of an Irish citizen. In 1986, a then five-month pregnant Irish woman Anne-Marie Murphy was found with explosives in her bag by Israeli security while trying to board an El Al flight to Tel Aviv with 374 other passengers (roughly 395 total people on the flight including crew). It wasnโ€™t her fault. She had been given the bag by her Jordanian fiancรฉ, Nezar Hindawi, without knowing the contents. He sent her on the flight under the false premise of โ€˜meeting his parents before marriageโ€™. His hatred of Jews surpassed any affection he may have had for his partner and unborn child who would, of course, have equally perished had his terror plot been successful. It is this context that makes the Irish Times amplifying false claims that Irish people are being profiled and discriminated against at Ben Gurion so egregious. Those security measures saved one of our own.

It was a great pleasure to finally meet Andy Saunders last night! We all had a great evening hearing about his rescue of two relic DH9 bombers from an Indian elephant stable - a proper Indiana Jones adventure! @1940Andy
Our October #HuttedHistories talk has just kicked off with Andy Saunders telling us about the two Great War DH9 bombers, discovered in India and returned to the UK for restoration!

Going to keep posting this until more people speak out. Where is the media? Where are the podcasters? Where is the UN?
BREAKING: Nearly 10,000 Christians have been slaughtered by Islamists across Africa since the start of 2026 alone. Another 4,000 kidnapped. More than 1,000 churches attacked. Where is the global outrage?
