We celebrated the life of Euan MacDonald today. He was a great man. An indefatigable Motor Neurone campaigner who bore his illness with a fortitude that humbles all the rest of use. RIP, old pal. thetimes.com/uk/scotland/art…

Angela Rayner is absolutely not my political cup of tea (or even my political glass of Sangria) but all right-wingers criticising her for dancing in Ibiza need to lighten up. I’m always glad when politicians take some time off and rest. Plus… she’s a pretty good dancer.

Over the last 11 years, my speech therapist has been with me every step of the way. Encouraging me. Pushing me. Helping me learn to talk again. Thank you Fabi for all of your support, especially this week at the @DemConvention.

The level of ghoulishness, soullessness, and moral bankruptcy required to not just mock a CHILD…but a child with special needs…for LOVING his dad…is utterly incomprehensible.

We have a kid w/NonVerbal Learning Disability (which doesn't mean they don't talk, they process differently). Gus Walz was magnificent last night & the parents who raised him will be advocates for all of our neuro divergent kids. Willing to ride at dawn or any other time for Gus!
Gus Walz ❤️😭 If anyone dares say anything negative about Tim Walz son for getting emotional because he’s so proud of his dad… we ride at dawn.

The left-wing president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, has been accused by Maduro supporters of betraying the memory of Chilean socialist leader Allende for condemning the Venezuelan regime. Ironically, Allende's daughter, also a socialist, just went on CNN calling Maduro a dictator.

The most entertaining Olympic sports combine epic fails with incomprehensible judging (gymnastics, diving, BMX park, breakdancing). The logical next step is an "academic job talk" event.

Watching #thehundred on @SkyCricket and commentators are complaining the attendances at OT have been "poor" - it's not the public's fault they aren't turning up to a competition they didn't want. 🤦🏼‍♂️

The 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. People in white were observers at the running events. At that time, video recording was not yet used, and about 20 people would watch the finish line to track the runners. Cameras were allowed to be used only 4 years later at the 1968 Olympics.
