Thailand revokes chief rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor’s citizenship
Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul signed an order on October 28 revoking the Thai citizenship of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, Thailand’s chief rabbi, citing his continued use of American nationality after naturalization.
Kantor has led Chabad of Thailand since 1993. Chabad is a worldwide Orthodox Jewish movement headquartered in New York. The ministry cited a Department of Special Investigation finding that he used his American nationality to enter and leave Australia on 16 occasions, most recently on January 26, 2026. He became a Thai citizen in April 2013.
The order said his conduct violated naturalization conditions and warranted revocation under Section 19(2) of the Nationality Act. It also cited potential harm to national security, the economy and society.

Even supposedly progressive figures like Democrats leader Yair Golan would reportedly prefer governing with Likud without Bibi over partnering with Israel's Arab-led parties such as the Joint List.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Qatar's seven-day plan to end the Iran war is failing for one reason: it asks Tehran to move first, and Tehran has decided that's the whole war
The Qatari offer is a week of tiered steps, each side acting in turn to build trust, and Iranian officials have already told Reuters it reads like Washington's demands with a Gulf letterhead.
They aren't wrong.
The sequence starts with inspectors and uranium and ends with sanctions relief, which is the American order of operations, and Iran's position since the blockade began has been the reverse: lift it, release the funds, then talk.
The mediators aren't neutral, they're hostages. Ras Tanura is still smoking, US diplomats need permission to use Saudi airports, and the Pentagon just told the Gulf to brace for Iranian retaliation after Nov. 3.
Doha, Riyadh and Islamabad are selling Tehran a deal because they're the ones who burn if there isn't one.
Khamenei's answer decides whether seven days of steps or seven days of strikes comes first, and the Gulf gets no vote.
