Imagine being born black. You don't relate to the stereotypes attached to it and just want to live as yourself. Then a group of white people decide that liking rap and fried chicken makes them the same as you. They put on blackface, exaggerate their lips, and start performing a caricature. When you say that makes you uncomfortable and that isn't what it means to be black, they respond by threatening to lynch you, blocking you from your own hobbies, and harassing you wherever you go for not being "kind" enough. They insist you have to accept them because they *feel* black. Eventually they start saying *you* are the one who's actually white for rejecting the stereotype, and that you should bleach your skin to match who you "really are" inside. If that reads as insane, ludicrous, and offensive: congratulations. That's how I feel as a female tomboy about "transgender". It is functionally no different.
