What is more concerning is that the actual number could be higher than 61,000, as the consolidated records (Form-10) on the @ECISVEEP website have consistently shown less applications than figures cited by the @ceo_karnataka. Between Sept 24 & Oct 22, the CEO’s office reported 1,70,442 Form-7, against 1,56,634 as per the ECI website - a gap of 13,808

China and India in a standoff at multiple locations along Arunachal border since July, India hosted Xi Jinping from Sep 11-13 for the BRICS summit.
“In the past few-days, a situation arose where face-off happened at several locations in Arunachal and it still continues,” ITBP D-G Shatrujeet Kapur said on Thursday.
This is the first official confirmation of the scale of the continuing tensions on the north-eastern border since July this year.
Government sources told The Hindu that since late July, India and China have been engaged in a stand-off at Asaphila near Taksing in Arunachal Pradesh. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is said to have pitched tents at an elevation, within 6-7 kilometres of India’s perception of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) near Maja company operating base in Taksing circle of Upper Subansiri district, sources said. A day after @the_hindu reported that only 1,238 form 6 applications were processed acc. to Delhi CEO's disposal report till October 11, the whole report was replaced with "updated" one. As per this, 1.07 lakh form 6 have been disposed of. Officials said earlier data was wrong.🔗

Is this for real? After the Hindu report on the number of Form 6 disposed of, the Delhi CEO says its official data updated every week was wrong, and puts up fresh data from August onwards. What kind of a system is this and what is the ECI under Gyanesh doing?
Delhi SIR: 4,263 ‘objections’ missing from CEO's website.
Between August 31 and October 16, 13,462 objections were received but only 9,199 were disclosed publicly. Importantly, no action can be taken on an objection without publishing it in public domain.

The claims and objections phase runs till October 30, meaning more applications will be recieved by then. @CeodelhiOffice might want look into this and publish all form 7s before initiating action, as per rules. Or, share reason for the missing ones as asked on email days back.
